Byzantine Empire Featured article review

[edit]

I have nominated Byzantine Empire for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" in regards to the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:05, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Patriarch Neophyte has reposed.

[edit]

I have nominated his passing for the main page at In the News Recent Deaths. Unfortunately, his article is not in good shape. Memory eternal. -Ad Orientem (talk) 02:02, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Starting this July, we will see a new contest on the scene - the Developing Countries WikiContest (WP:DCWC)! Think of it as a WikiCup but only for articles and media on developing countries.

Competitors may submit GAs, GTs, FAs, FTs, FLs, FPs, and DYK and ITN entries from/on developing countries to gain points and climb the leaderboard. Points are also awarded to those who review GAs, FAs and FLs.

Bulgaria is listed as a developing country for the purposes of this contest and articles related to it are eligible to be submitted for points, so I encourage everyone here to sign up and compete with editors from around the world to create high-quality content!

Append your name to the DCWC signup page today!

Soliciting article feedback

[edit]

Hello,

I have been writing about a rather controversial topic related to Bulgaria and would like to solicit feedback. I would like to know if this is the proper place to do so, and if so if anyone here would be willing to work with me to improve the relevant articles.

And in case anyone has seen me working, I am not some sort of Bulgaria hater, what caught my fancy caught my fancy :) and I want to ensure it is properly documented on English wikipedia. Pietrus1 (talk) 23:47, 24 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: Nina Dobrev

[edit]

There is an ongoing RfC at Talk:Nina Dobrev regarding the inclusion of Dobrev's Bulgarian nationality in the article's lede, if anyone would like to chime in. Anthony Whitaker (talk) 11:48, 25 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions to better assist in project Bulgaria

[edit]

Apologies if this is the wrong location to post this, but I was wondering if there are any suggestions on what I can do to better help. So far I have created a few Bulgarian pages and added information and pushpin maps to existing pages. I have also attempted to translate a page which remains as a draft. I was wondering what would be something else that I can begin to work on as well.

Thank you Artem P75 (talk) 01:36, 13 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Women in Green's October 2024 edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hello WikiProject Bulgaria:

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2024!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2024, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

Seeking collaboration and / or direction

[edit]

Hi, I am just posting to see if anyone would be interested in collaborating to improve Bulgarian articles on the English Wikipedia, or if anyone can give me some direction on ways that I can work on improving them, I have so far added hundreds of pushpin maps to different rural Bulgarian villages and have started creating some stubs for hose villages which are red-linked. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in working together :) Thank you! Artem P75 (talk) 03:36, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
