Central Asia
Hey all, Central Asia is the COTW, and I thought you might like to help out a bit with the historical overview, since there are many former empires and kingdoms in the region. Thanks in advance, thames.
Defining the states
Perhaps a list of states could be set up to help reactivate this project.
Possible issues to be considered:
- How small can a state be: for example some of the components of what became Germany in the 19th century, and of Princely India.
- Empire formation and decolonisation.
- Significant regime change/structural change.
- Changes of state names.
Suggested divsions would be by region and by period.
