Okay, here we go

[edit]

Let's discuss how we want to structure this collaboration. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible in order to not make it a burden to run it. Ideas? ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 09:42, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moved all associated pages

[edit]

I've moved all the associated pages I could find so they all reside here now. I've also fixed all the redirects so there aren't any double redirs. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 20:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Vital articles"

[edit]

The page Wikipedia:Vital articles lists a thousand articles and "serves as a guide for featured articles." Several are related to Japan:

These would make good candidates for collaborations to bring them toward Good Article or Featured Article status.

I think this is a good start. We can also use Category:Top-importance Japan-related articles (40 articles), Category:A-Class Japan-related articles (11 articles), and Category:GA-Class Japan-related articles (21 articles) for articles to work on. Especially important would be Top-importance articles that are either A- or GA-class:
So, that's two more, making a total of 9 articles from Wiki Vital and Japan Top. I think with the others in these three categories we have plenty that we could work on. Should we rank them? ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 05:09, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ranked

[edit]

Here's my quick and dirty ranking of the articles above (the order in which I think they should be worked on):

Anyone else have any suggestions for an order? ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 01:03, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think Shinto is a really great candidate, because it's already a very well-researched, well-written article (though a bit long, as I recall)... and only lacks citations. And since there's also a WikiProject Shinto, making that the collaboration might attract notice and bring a few of those people over here to help us get things going.
