This link appears to be managed by the downtown development authority (which is already linked to from the Ferndale, MI article, and this link can be reached once on that site). a user (User:Vizmeta) has been including the following link into many articles: http://www.mattrauch.com/2008-nfl-combine-results.php While it seems like it's a good addition, it seems to be just some guy's personal website, and that information can easily be found on sites such as the NFL website, and alot of that info is already in the article already.. Help required at Guy Harvey

I'm getting dangerously close to the 3RR rule on the Guy Harvey article, if I have not indeed already overstepped it. When I came across this article [3] there were 5 links to sites (although not to 5 different sites). Note that this is supposed to be a biography. I have welcomed User:74.195.92.17 but this IP address keeps returning with more. Lcwujc seems to be a spam-only account. The account has made a dozen changes in the last couple of weeks, but all of them seem to be to create links to http://www.paintinghere.com, a store that sells prints of artworks.

I just cleaned up a bunch of msplinks.com redirects--they are not always spam per se, but they seem to often occur in spammy pages. They show up in wikipedia because someone has pasted a link from a Myspace profile page. Maybe some folks here would like to watch for them regularly, if you're not already doing that. Here is a simple python script for decoding them:

At least one of the users adding the link are now in violation of 3RR, after being warned - so I've submitted a report to WP:AN3. I would suggest submitting the article for temporary semi-protection at WP:RFPP if the spamming continues. Normally, I would also suggest XLinkBot ... but given the edit warring, I think that taking it to WP:SBL may be appropriate should the spamming continue. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 18:43, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

I looked closer at the edit histories, and found that the edit warring has been going on for over a year. I have no objection if an established editor wants to re-establish some of the better targetted links.
