William Scott-Moncrieff

Brigadier General William Scott-Moncrieff (June 1858 – 28 June 1915) was a British Army officer. He was killed during the Gallipoli campaign while commanding the 156th (Scottish Rifles) Brigade.
He was promoted to captain in the Middlesex Regiment in December 1885.[1]
He was promoted to temporary brigadier general in August 1914[2] and succeeded Brigadier General Steuart Hare in command of the Scottish Rifles Brigade in February 1915.[3]
