Assess : newly added and existing articles, maybe nominate some good B-class articles for GA; independently assess some as A-class, regardless of GA status.
Cleanup : * Sport governing body (this should-be-major article is in a shameful state) * Field hockey (History section needs sources and accurate information - very vague at the moment.) * Standardize Category:American college sports infobox templates to use same font size and spacing. * Sport in the United Kingdom - the Popularity section is incorrect and unsourced. Reliable data is required.
* Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

@ILoveSport2006 and NoWikiNoLife: Let's discuss here and not revert all over again. I agree that the section (same as the men's tounament) is overkill and we should wait for an official bid or the selection. Rumours should not be inserted here. Kante4 (talk) 09:52, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why do other articles have reports being put in, like for FIFA World Cups, but there is a huge problem with this. Also not all of it is controversial. NoWikiNoLife should not delete it all. It is fact that these cities have been touted as potential hosts. I hate when people delete history on Wikipedia. Wikipedia talks about having sources to back what you write. I have sources, yet now I am being told they're not good enough. So we are just going make out like these articles didn't exist for years to come. Personally, I don't agree with that. It doesn't mean that I am conceding that paragraph. In my opinion, it should still be there. I have sources for everything I've put in. I only edited it because NoWikiNoLife for some reason deleted that bit. ILoveSport2006 (talk) 14:05, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see why it should be removed ever if there are reliable sources supporting the information. It is quite notable information considering the tournament location was changed only a few months before it began, and many people were certainly wondering what would happen. It is a wonderful world (talk) 20:10, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
