Are Colombians a truly separate ethnic group from the other South American countries around them? I don't think they are Hizrael 14 February 2007, 16:45 (UTC)

Colombians in the UK

[edit]

I'm surprised to read that there are 130-160,000 Colombians in the UK. While that doesn't, of course, mean that it isn't true, I am rather skeptical of the source [1], which makes the ludicrous claim that "800,000 salsa classes... take place across the UK every night." Presumably it actually means that 800,000 people attend salsa classes every night but, even so, that figure seems unrealistically high. 800,000 people a night is 5.6 million people a week. In other words, one person in 11 in the UK attends weekly salsa classes, according to this article. That's hard to believe. Dricherby (talk) 19:38, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Colombians in Israel

[edit]

The document (here is a newer one) mentions those who immigrated to Israel and who were born in or last resided in Colombia. It does not mention how many from there currently live in Israel so I think it should be removed from the infobox as it is misleading but could be added in the body of the article with an explanation or adding if there is statistic (maybe just in Hebew) on how many residents there are in Israel from Colombia. --IRISZOOM (talk) 02:56, 28 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@JimRenge:Your excuse is bad. Other articles also use the flags of countries such as the following: Australians, Brazilians, Israelis, Italians, etc. Use the flag of the country is not against the rules according to many other articles on Wikipedia

I think that the user JimRenge and user Iryna Harpy have agreed to threaten me and damage my edits, if this is the case you are violating the rules of Wikipedia. Please you must learn how to behave with more respect on Wikipedia.

Columbian flag is a mistaken spelling of Colombia. It's Colombia, NOT Columbia. --181.137.12.115 (talk) 02:24, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese Colombians

[edit]

The Cundinamarca Department article says there are about 25,000 Chinese living in this department, yet this article says that there are "more than 6,000 Chinese immigrants in Colombia," and doesn't even mention the Cundinamarca Department. Why? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 01:09, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Both figures appear to be unsourced, so should really be removed unless a reliable source can be found. Cordless Larry (talk) 16:16, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

British Colombians

[edit]

does anyone know how to to delete a redirect of British Colombians that this page has?

  1. The redirect page makes it unreasonably difficult for users to locate the similarly named article called British Colombians that I am trying to make. , . Basically , if a user searches for "British Colombians", they are redirected to this page.

I can't find an article with a name similar to British Colombians. I did find Draft:British colombians, which you created, but we don't create redirects from mainspace to drafts. Drafts aren't intended to be easily found by readers until they've been reviewed and accepted for publication. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:13, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The redirect British Colombian has been listed at redirects for discussion to determine whether its use and function meets the redirect guidelines. Readers of this page are welcome to comment on this redirect at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2023 June 20 § British Colombian until a consensus is reached. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 18:17, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
