Fair use rationale for Image:Automovilpan.jpg

[edit]

Image:Automovilpan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Quality

[edit]

This article needs rewriting. I could do this, but it would be better if someone familiar with the subject did it. This maker should be at the 2008 Motor Show in London so can someone check the facts with them and rewrite the article into good English? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.23.48.121 (talk) 20:26, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

good article here [1]

Cars shipping March of 2011

[edit]

As today is the last day of March 2011, can someone please update this? Either the cars shipped or they did not. Has the manufacturer figured out how to warranty the vehicle according to US requirements, or is that going to be another stumbling block? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.128.83.160 (talk) 12:34, 31 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure about this description of the logo:

non-sharped shield

Can't find a clear description of this meaning anywhere. If a 'sharped shield' is in fact a physical edge to a shield rather than an element of its heraldic representation, then 'non-sharped shield' = 'shield'. I can't correct or add detail, as I can't find a definition of 'sharped shield' anywhere. Does anyone know exactly what this means? Centrepull (talk) 14:20, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

actual top speed of MXA / MXB?

[edit]

Here it's claimed as about 125km/h, but the specific wiki page for those two models claims 145km/h... which is slightly more than what the donor Beetle itself is capable of (about 140km/h) and is more likely given the improved aerodynamics and likely gearing (case in point: the early 90s Polo, with a similar size and weight but slightly more aerodynamic body vs the Beetle, and a similar 4-speed very-mild-overdrive transmission, also managed 145k). A Beetle chassis with a more sporting body on top should hardly go slower, should it? The wiki page also says it has a 0-100km/h time of 15s, which, given that 18 to 20s is more what would be expected of a car of the Beetle's weight, power, shape and sophistication (again, the Polo does the sprint in a smidge under 20), suggests it's had a bit of a crash diet and should be capable of going a little faster as a result (less friction on the wheel bearings and tyre contact patches...)

Therefore, which is correct - this page, or the other one (and my suspicions)? 146.90.85.13 (talk) 05:44, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Year of first kit-car

[edit]

This experience led to the construction of their first kit-car in 2067...

Either the year is off, or it should read 'will lead' instead of 'led' :) Judging by the other years in the article it's not just changing from 2067 to 1967. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.199.62.254 (talk) 19:25, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
