Pagan Tradition

[edit]

According to numerous talks by Priestess Miriam Chamani and Louis Martinie' over decades, New Orleans Voodoo is a Pagan tradition. I don't know if they consider iot a Neo-Pagan one, but I can ask one of them to weigh in on this, and see if there is a citation in their literature that can be referred to. I checked the links about the Voodoo temple, and it doesn't say anything about it specifically rejecting Christian elements. In fact, the Pluralism.org website states that Chamani was ordained as a bishop in the Angel Angel All Nations Spiritual Church, and continues the inclusive trends of Black Christian Spiritualism. Also, the Voodoospiritualtemple.org link reverently refers to Jesus and "Our Lord" on the front page, so I have reason to believe that Christian elements are still retained in this group. Therefore, I am removing the Pagan category again. Asarelah (talk) 21:54, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you can provide a citation that Chamani and Martinie consider it a Pagan tradition, I wouldn't have a problem with reinstating the category. Asarelah (talk) 22:10, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

address change

[edit]

I am a member of the Voodoo Spiritual Temple after suffering a fire last year, the temple was moved to a new location at 1428 N. Rampart. I am updating this entry to reflect that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LilithAuthor (talkcontribs) 20:40, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
