Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedily deleted because, while the formatting is pretty awful and it probably is indeed a test, it is a page on a real school that doesn't have a page right now, and I'd like to try my hand at turning it into a real article. Also, the original creator looks like he wanted it to be an article, judging by his contributions (adding the school to a list in lindsay ontario, for example). (If that's not a sufficient reason, could an admin put it in my userspace instead of deleting it?)--Writ Keeper (talk) 01:53, 12 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On the other hand, I'm finding it pretty tough to write anything meaningful (I'm not even in the same country as the school in question). I didn't realize that the page as it was created was copied wholesale from a website profile; I had thought it had other content in it. Since that all had to be deleted, I think it's worse than an uphill battle, and I would not object to a speedy deletion as per WP:SNOWBALL at this point if the original author doesn't want to develop the article further, either. • Standard practice for elementary & middle schools (at least in Canada) is to redirect the article to either its Board or its locality, unless there's something remarkable about the school.  Done PKT(alk) 13:21, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
