Need to expand the definition - Property Management
[edit]I think the definition should include some references to risk, sustainability, and energy management generally.
In Australia and in scholarly articles on the Emerald and Proquest Data Bases there are significant articles going back to 2002 which indicate a trend toward the importance of the risk management of buildings and those that occupy them.
For your consideration MAA KE LAUDE

Listicle gold medal
[edit]Perhaps the densest listicle lead I've ever seen on Wikipedia, and I've seen more than 50,000.
Property management is the
- operation
- control
- maintenance
- oversight
of
- real estate
- physical property
This can include
- residential
- commercial
- land real estate
Management indicates the need for real estate to be
- cared for
- monitored
with
- accountability for
- attention to
its
- useful life
- condition
This is much akin to the role of management in any business.
Property management is the administration of
- personal property
- equipment
- tooling
- physical capital assets acquired and used to
- build
- repair
- maintain
- end item deliverables.
Property management involves the
- processes
- systems
- workforce
required to manage the life cycle of all acquired property as defined above, including:
- acquisition
- control
- accountability
- responsibility
- maintenance
- utilization
- disposition
An owner of a
- single-family home
- condominium
- multi-family building
may engage the services of a professional property management company.
The company will then:
- advertise the rental property
- handle tenant inquiries
- screen applicants
- select suitable candidates
- draw up a lease agreement
- conduct a move-in inspection
- move the tenants into the property
- collect rental income
The company will then
- coordinate any maintenance issues
- supply the owner(s) with
- financial statements
- any relevant information regarding the property

Updates to NARPM section
[edit]Hi, I would like to update the section of this article relating to the National Association of Residential Property Managers to reflect current info, but I am not sure of the protocol. Specifically:
1. The designations listed in that section have been changed. I don't think anyone would mind me adding current info there, but it is tied to the second problem:
2. The internet archive pages linked carry very outdated information. A current website exists with current information that is updated regularly. A snapshot of the page from years ago is hardly as useful as the current information is, right? Why can't we use the actual page?
May I please have some guidance on this? Thanks, Barbra SawdustForBrains (talk) 19:01, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
