Baby Girl McCall

[edit]

Even though Sam spoke of naming her child Lila in honor of Jason's Grandmother, the baby's headstone reads Baby Girl McCall, meaning it was never named as Lila in any official record. So, please don't replace Baby Girl McCall with the name Lila.--Charleenmerced Talk 15:24, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited info

[edit]

I removed the entire character history section due to lack of any sources + WP:OR concerns. Feel free to readd when appropriately cited Corpx 15:46, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think it was a bit extreme to delete most of the article, instead of trying to look for sources for the information. Since this is an episodic program, that happens everyday, there is basically one true source of info, General Hospital itself. THerefore, it is understood that the information is coming from GH. There is no need to delete the entire section. All the informaiton is correct, I have checked. But, we cannot not go ahead and look for sources for every line.--Charleenmerced Talk 15:44, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Corpx is under no obligation to try to find sources; Wikipedia policy very clearly states that it is the responsibility of the person adding the information (or re-adding it) to provide sources. Just because it's a daytime soap opera does not exempt this or any other article from the verifiability policies, including reliable 3rd party sources. 24.4.253.249 20:54, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Back with Jason section

[edit]

Could someone who watches the show daily clean this section up some more? I removed some of the sentences for being run ons and just a bunch of rambling, but it could still use some more work. Also, a lot of the information should probably be dedicated to a section about Sam McCall's rivalry with Elizabeth Webber. Lizabethdawn 20:07, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I actually think the entry has one too many sections as it is, it's turning into one long weekly drawn out recap--Jessie val jean 06:01, 6 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jessie val jean (talkcontribs)

Infobox Image

[edit]

It should be noted the Image:Samantha_McCall.jpg‎ which was used in the info box was deleted due to a missing fair use rationale after it had been tagged for 7 days. Also to be noted that this image was not identified as being subject to deletion on the article page as were several other images that were fixed prior to the 7 day expiration period. It seems that several admins are more concerned about deleting images that fixing the technical requirements. Dbiel (Talk) —Preceding comment was added at 01:48, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The fair use rationale of this image has been called into question. Please see here for further discussion: Talk:Kelly_Monaco#Use_of_Kelly_Monaco_Image_from_Sam_McCall. Thank you. Jay Dubya (talk) 17:44, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I tagged this article as too lengthy and redundant. I decided to go ahead and start editing and shortening it myself.

The language use is ridiculous in some parts of the article. There are numerous run-on sentences and errors of that nature. I may dispute its neutrality at a later date because it does read like a fansite in some instances, which I am trying to change. There is far too much detail! As you know, soap stories just keep going! This will turn into an encyclopedia of its own if not shortened now!

A good example may be Jason Morgan's page - a character of the same soap. This character has been on the show for many more years, yet his page is not as detailed or as long as you may expect for one with a history as long as his. Please try to shorten this article and include only what is absolutely necessary. Correctone (talk) 21:29, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, so I started editing it now. I didn't think I would get to it right away, but it hasn't really been that difficult. I actually moved the tag about length to a particular section rather than the whole page because I was able to condense so much of the article rather quickly. I removed the redundancy tag altogether because I took care of that at the beginning of the article. Correctone (talk) 23:20, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I removed all tags. Personally, I think this article looks much better and is an easier read now. I hope to keep it this way as Sam's story progresses. Remember, this is not the place for daily recaps. =D Correctone (talk) 02:50, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Mayor Floyd is her father?

[edit]

Is there a chance that Sam's father is finally being revealed? --M42380 (talk) 01:02, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage to Andrew Olson

[edit]

Wouldn't her marriage to Andrew not count as she was using Alicia's name? The same way all her marriages she had playing cons before she came to town weren't valid or listed since she used different alias? Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 16:08, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the page moved?

[edit]

Sam Morgan is not her WP:Commonname. She used McCall for eight years, and Morgan for not even two.Caringtype1 (talk) 19:00, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; Sam and Jason were married for like two seconds before Steve Burton left; Sam hasn't been known as Sam Morgan for that long, it needs to be moved back.--Nk3play2 my buzz 15:24, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
An admin needs to move it back since the page history is messed up. Kelly Marie 0812 (talk) 00:22, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sam Morgan (General Hospital)Sam McCall – This page was moved without consensus and Sam McCall is the WP:COMMONNAME. Technical issues are in the way of moving it back without assistance and whenever it's moved back to Sam McCall, some user moves it back to Sam Morgan against consensus. Please block said user from moving the page. 71.233.227.127 (talk) 21:01, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No need for another move request, especially after how little fanfare the previous one got. The WP:COMMONNAME and WP:CONSENSUS policies are clear about this. If this user, Historylover18, does not want to get blocked from editing, he or she will abide by those rules. I have moved the article back to Sam McCall. And I fixed the double redirects, something that Historylover18 has neglected to do when moving the article. If Historylover18 keeps moving the article to any name other than Sam McCall, report the user at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Flyer22 (talk) 21:21, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
