Resolution

[edit]

Was there any resolution to the Michael Gerardi murder case? If so, it should be included in the article. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 22:54, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning like, did they find out who did it? No, I don't think they did. Bali88 (talk) 01:23, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. This article talks about the murder. Then goes on to say that this Shareef Cousin was wrongfully convicted and, thus, released from prison. But, the article never provides any closure on the issue of the murder. Was the actual perpetrator ever apprehended? Or is it an unsolved, cold-case murder? If anyone knows, that would be good to add in to the article. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 05:15, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure exactly how to explain that in the article in another way that it's already explained. He was never formerly exonerated. The prosecutors are basically claiming they did nothing wrong and he's still guilty. I feel like the fact that no one else has been charged and he the case basically ended with "there's no evidence so we're dropping it" makes it clear what the situation is. It made the front page of reddit a few weeks ago and no one asked who the real killer was, so I would assume it's clear enough. Bali88 (talk) 05:26, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Makes sense. I didn't read the article carefully, word for word. I just did a quick skim. What do you mean when you say that he was never formally exonerated? Do you mean that no one "official" (e.g., the court, judge, police, prosecutor, etc.) declared that he is factually innocent of the murder? Is that what you mean when you say that he was never formally exonerated? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 05:33, 14 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, yeah. If it's unclear, we could probably put a line in that the case has not been reinvestigated or something. Bali88 (talk) 03:22, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. I am not at all familiar with this case, so I don't feel comfortable editing this article myself. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 05:12, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
