Removal of Several Battles
[edit]Bernhardt is covered under the section on the winter line here: Winter Line, Trasimene Line is not a major battle, and there isn't even information about the fighting going on there on the Transmeire page: Trasimene Line. Homersmyid 10:01, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- No. The campaignbox has a logical progression of the major battles. Trasimene was an important action where Kesselring linked up the 10th and 14th Armies after the Anzio and Cassino defeats - it just hasn't been written yet - Wikipedia is work in progress - fancy a go at it?!. The Winter Line page is not a battle description any more - it just tries to make sense of the confusion over the namings of the various lines so should not be included in the campaignbox. The major "Winter Line" actions were the battles for the Bernhardt Line (article now includes the Adriatic Gustav Line action), Monte Cassino and Anzio. These have been grouped together with subsidiary battles (Ortona, San Pietro and Cisterna) into the subsidiary Winter Line and battle for Rome campaignbox because they are a logical grouping and so as to stop the Italy campaignbox from getting too crowded with relatively minor actions whilst still making them easy to find. - Created new campaignboxes so removed the relevant battles on here to them. Hope this helps. ChrisWet (talk) 16:33, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
