I am a citizen of the Republic of Jargonistan. Located east of Ukraine, north of Kazakhstan, west of Alaska, and south of Santa Claus.

This "invoke random" command is really cool.

Status

[edit]

Currently, I am banned from editing articles related to "Conflict in Eastern Europe" (which includes the former Soviet Union). I also cannot directly discuss anything relating to these topics, at least with regards to content within specific articles.

This does not mean that I am retiring from Wikipedia, as there are still other less-contentious areas that I'm interested in, such as music and biology.

I am also not retiring from the contentious topics outside of Wikipedia, and I will continue to stay informed about them in my own time away from the website. This too shall pass. – JN, January 26, 2023. (ironically, I was banned by a fellow Australian on Australia Day... ha!)

    • Ceuta · Melilla · Plazas de soberanía (three dependencies; Spain) (claimed by Morocco)
    • Gibraltar (dependency; UK) (claimed by Spain)
    • This is a very complex network of disputes between four countries, those being the United Kingdom, Spain, Morocco, and Western Sahara. The most important party to the network of disputes is Western Sahara, which Morocco refuses to recognise as an independent country. The rest of the disputes primarily rest on whether Morocco will recognise Western Sahara as an independent country.
    • As it stands, I recognise Western Sahara as an independent country, and I hold no strong positions on the other two disputes in this network (i.e. Morocco vs. Spain, and Spain vs. the UK).
  • Republika Srpska (province; part of Bosnia-Herzegovina)
    • I acknowledge the concept of the secession of Republika Srpska from BiH.
    • I acknowledge the concept of the unification of Republika Srpska and Serbia.
    • I understand how these concepts might be linked to Kosovo–Serbia relations.
  • Tigray (province; part of Ethiopia)
    • Tigray is a province of Ethiopia. Following the 2020–2022 Tigray War, I am awaiting a mutual solution to the conflict.
Land Grab: These subnational regions were stolen (i.e. annexed) from one country by another.
