I am Roberto, 28 years old (born on September 17, 1978), from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I read a lot. Since I spend near 5 hours per day travelling, I had to find something to do while riding the bus. I found Dragonlance to be a pretty good entertainment, especially since it has over 100 edited books. I also read once per year The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy. And from time to time, Forgotten Realms.

I also play Nintendo DS games, especially while travelling at night (and if the bus' lights are weak). This does not mean I am a fanboy. I own a Famicom, a SNES and a Game Boy, but I skipped all the other generations until the DS arrived since I had to study at school. Since December 2007 I also own a Nintendo Wii. I agree with Nintendo's philosophy, but that does not mean I will buy every console they launch. Although I don't own a PlayStation or Xbox, I have read enough of them to be able to help dealing with vandalism. I am proud of saying I was witness of the true console wars.

I have been introduced to symphonic metal, with Nightwish becoming a favorite music band immediately. Visions of Atlantis, Epica and Forever Slave soon followed. Nowadays I spend my time with Within Temptation and After Forever. I also listen to Rata Blanca, probably the most important heavy metal band in Argentina.

Finally, I really like manga and anime. Some series I have seen and are able to help editing are Saint Seiya, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Robotech, Macross Zero, Macross Plus, Dragon Ball Z, You are under arrest! plus many others.

Languages

I speak spanish natively, as most argentinians. I am also quite good at english (been using it for over 11 years, you can thank Final Fantasy VI for forcing me to learn it in order to play it!). Between 1997 and 1998 I also studied japanese. However, my lack of time prevented me from finishing the course. I still remember a good number of things from its grammar, which I apply in the different anime- and manga-related articles.

Being able to listen to NHK World Radio, Radio Canada International, Deutsche Welle and Voice of Russia shortwave radio stations helped me grasp english and japanese better.
