Placename changes and Wikipedia policy[edit]
Please see the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Bangladesh/Archive 7#Placename changes and Wikipedia policy to understand why Wikipedia uses the spelling it does. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:12, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
Naming conventions[edit]
There are multiple ways of transliterating Bengali. When Wikipedia's policies and guidelines (such as WP:COMMONNAME) are insufficient to determine which spelling to use for a geographic place (for example because some place are so rarely mentioned in English-language sources) there is a project-level naming convention, WP:BDPLACE that guides us. That's why Wikipedia uses the spelling Mirsharai Upazila. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
February 2024[edit]
Hi YounusMia2003! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Mirsharai Upazila several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Mirsharai Upazila, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 20:54, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, YounusMia2003,
- You were not just edit-warring on this article but on many others. If an editor reverts an edit or move you made, you should either go discuss it on the article talk page or go to the editor's User talk page to ask about it. Edit-warring is one of the most common reasons why editors get blocked and lose their editing privileges. WP:BRD stands for "Bold-Revert-Discuss" not "Bold-Revert-Revert-Revert-Revert-Get blocked". It's in your best interest to start communicating with your fellow editors when disagreements happen. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:03, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

. Liz Read! Talk! 08:35, 26 February 2024 (UTC)- Hello, ইউনুছ মিঞা,
- I said I would block you if you continued to move-war and you persisted so you are now blocked. You have to learn how to communicate with your fellow editors instead of just doing whatever you want. Liz Read! Talk! 08:37, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

Decline reason:
I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that
- the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
- the block is no longer necessary because you
- understand what you have been blocked for,
- will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
- will make useful contributions instead.
Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 11:26, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Farukia Madinatul Ulum Madrasah, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Private. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:06, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Farukia Madinatul Ulum Madrasah, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 17:08, 2 June 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to remove maintenance templates without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at Farukia Madinatul Ulum Madrasah, you may be blocked from editing. Belbury (talk) 20:10, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Please be mindful not to perform controversial edits while logged out, or your account risks being blocked from editing. Please consider reading up on Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts before editing further. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 09:09, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
Removing maintenance templates[edit]
I don't know how fluent you are in the English language, but if someone has put a {{copyedit}} template on an article that you've written yourself, you likely aren't the best person to judge when to remove it.
The presence of the template on the article adds it to Category:Wikipedia articles needing copy edit which will notify other editors of the need for copyediting. Belbury (talk) 08:30, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove maintenance templates from Wikipedia articles without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at Farukia Madinatul Ulum Madrasah. Belbury (talk) 15:08, 13 June 2024 (UTC)
