If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (100.1.58.54) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. Please do not remove serial commas[edit]

Please do not remove serial commas, as you did at 59th Academy Awards. Most grammatical guides advocate for them. Only those that tend to derive from newspapers, like the NYT, recommend against them to save space. That is unnecessary here. I have reverted your edits, so please attempt them again without removing the serial commas. Peaceray (talk) 04:31, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! -- irn (talk) 17:14, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm DIYeditor. I noticed that you recently removed content from Fanny and Alexander without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. —DIYeditor (talk) 04:14, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

March 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to 75th Academy Awards does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Information icon Hello, I'm Chlod. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to 93rd Academy Awards have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Please avoid using the full name. Although correct, it's much easier to refer to the movie using its shorter title, and is also much cleaner to view. Chlod (say hi!) 20:06, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
