Template:BoomBox

[edit]

This template is almost entirely redlinks, and therefore pointless, since the purpose of navigational boxes is to navigate between articles. Please therefore create new articles as matter of urgency. If editors cannot see someone making an effort to create the (currently non-existent) articles linked from this navbox, it is likely to be deleted. Hello, 27century. On your recent article Martine Warmann, I noticed that she is also sometimes known as "Martine George". Hi 27century. As we've raised before, it is very apparent that you are working for a number of clients in doing paid editing of Wikipedia. This is allowed, even though it is very strongly discouraged. However, under Wikipedia's Terms of Use you are required to disclose the articles which you are paid to edit and who has hired you to do so. There are a few options as to how, but the easiest might be for you to use Template:Paid, which will help you to place a note on your user page.

Importantly, if you continue to engage in undisclosed paid editing you will be blocked. Disclosure is an important part of the Terms of Use. - Bilby (talk) 15:13, 13 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Bilby: — Done. Thank you for your help!
I'm a bit confused. When you said that this was done, were did you post your disclosures? - Bilby (talk) 08:18, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
In the top of this page :)--27century (talk) 08:25, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
That's a disclosure that you engage in paid editing, which is good to see. But what is needed by the Terms of Use are individual disclosure statements for each page you have been paid to edit. - Bilby (talk) 08:30, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. But, how can I do that?--27century (talk) 08:52, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, one way to do that individual disclosure would be to add a {{Connected contributor (paid)}} template to the talk pages of those articles you've been paid to work on. The link in that previous sentence explains the various parameters that should be filled out. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 18:37, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Wiae: — Done! 5 pages. You can check. Also, can i delete this template on the buttom of my talk page("This user, in accordance with the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use, discloses that they have been paid by employers for their contributions to Wikipedia.")? And, can I remove this template "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject."? (in some of my articles) Thanks again.--27century (talk) 18:48, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think this is almost sufficient to meet the Terms of Use. (They say that you must make disclosure in "at least one" of three ways—a statement on the user page, a statement on the talk pages of all articles, or a statement in the edit summaries; I think the talk page disclosures are enough.) However, I believe you must also fill in the client names or the name of the hiring company/employer. /wiae /tlk 20:45, 4 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Studypool

[edit]

Hi. Sorry, this is specifically for Studypool. Have you been paid to edit this? --Lemongirl942 (talk) 14:06, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lemongirl :) No I haven't!--27century (talk) 14:27, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK no worries. I will however have to walk you though the guidelines on paid editing. Many of the article you have created are extremely promotional. For example the article about V05 (band) would probably be deleted if someone tagged it with a G11. 2 important things - first, for creating any article, I suggest you go through AfC. Second, for editing any article you are paid for, use a request edit template and do not edit it yourself. In addition, you need to declare who is paying you for editing the article which you don't seem to have done. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 14:44, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You can have a look at WP:COIDISCLOSEPAY. In addition, if you are using any alternate accounts, it is preferable that you let us know as well. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 14:48, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any alternate accounts. And I explained (just above on this page) that i don't know their real names. Communication was via email. And I don't agree with "Many of the article you have created are extremely promotional". Yes sure, the article about V05 (band) has some promotional text. I'll rewrite this article. It's only one article. But can you explain which exactly my advertising articles are? Because I don't understand. Thanks!--27century (talk) 15:49, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure if that is per policy. The way I understand, both "the entity paying you" and the "actual client" need to be disclosed. I can ask on the conflict of interest notice board for opinion by others though. My own understanding is that both need to be disclosed. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 01:19, 17 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 27century. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Christopher Mark Theodore".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Puffin Let's talk! 20:24, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Deskera, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. AfD nominations by User:Aksnahar

[edit]

Greetings. I ran across Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spec Property via a list of various month-old nominations and thereby stumbled on to the other AfD nominations by the same user. While the behavior seems rather odd and they obviously did not follow the full nomination procedures, there doesn't appear to be any vandalism involved, I don't believe that it was appropriate to remove the AfD tags from the other articles out of hand. The discussion pages are still out there, but because they were not transcluded to a daily log page for viewing by the folks who track AfD nominations in general, it's likely that nobody ever saw them.

I decided to operate under the assumption that these nominations were made in good faith--based on this, I've restored the AfD tags to the other three nominated articles, and fixed things so that all four discussion pages (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andriy Khlyvnyuk, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hootan Ahmadi, and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Preparis Inc in addition to the above) have been made visible to the active editors who evaluate these things. You are of course welcome to add your own comments. If I have any opinions of my own, I'll add them later--my purpose in doing all of the above was in the interest of maintenance, general cleanup and proper following of procedures rather than a judgement on the articles themselves. Feel free to ask me further questions if you have them. Thank you for your time. --Finngall talk 18:03, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Amen / Paid editing

Where have you made the required detailed disclosure of this? Please see WP:PAID for further information. Alexbrn (talk) 18:57, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Philly Shipyard logo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Philly Shipyard logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 22:53, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've blocked two accounts, but I'm not going to block this one, as I'm hoping you can return to just using this. I understand the difficulties you face, but they need to be overcome within policy through using a single account. - Bilby (talk) 08:48, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
