Hi Adamslinger, I came across a recent edit of yours on the Recruitment page and noticed that the url links to sub pages of http://www.atmresearch.com which hosts ATM Executive Research. I also noted that the citation included the name Adam Slinger which coincides with your wikipedia editor name. Please note that adding urls in this way to the Recruitment page as well as the other marketing-related article sections of pages such as Sainsbury's is considered innapropriate by Wikipedia. Please see WP:SPAM, and WP:PROMO. Furthermore if there is an apparent link between the website and your Wikipedia name there is a presumption in favour of there being a likely conflict of interest between yourself and the sites you are linking articles to or are making contributions to. Please see WP:COI forguidance in this respect. Accordingly, I will be removing references to the above URLs in articles you have edited.Tmol42 (talk) 16:10, 21 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The citation on Recruitment page was to a sub page of www.atmresearch.com where the executive research copy was taken from. This is a direct lift of an article that I wrote back in September which was put on the wikipedia Recruitment page. Please could you confirm how I reference the copy used on the Recruitment page so that people are aware that the text came from our article?
In regards to the Sainsbury's page, the citation was to a news article which we had written regarding Jamie Oliver and Sainsbury's. I was linking to this news article which we wrote regarding his departure from Sainsbury's as no one had made a reference to this news.
Adamslinger, firstly I suggest you go back and read the policy on Conflict of Interest I provided above which provides an explanation as to how an editor who has any connection with the article or text should behave. Secondly, regarding the Recruitment article your reference to the content having been lifted from your article I have gone back to look in August when it was added only to find you had added this content yourself see here. Such a blatant bit of copyright violation see WP:COPYVIO and conflict of interest justifies its removal straight away which I will do shortly. Frankly, it would have been a bit more transparent if you had said it was you who had lifted it! Turning to the Sainsbury's article and reference to Jamie Oliver I have remedied this by adding an article from The Grocer which addresses the need for a citation. There is no way you could add this citation back in yourself nor given what we know now about the article in ATM could it be valid for anyone else to use this citation now without it been see as vicariously offending WP:PROMO.
Probably the best takeaway piece of advice the various policies provide which I have oft seen repeated by Admins is for those with any possible or perceived conflict or close association / connection with an subject area or article or specific content is to avoid editing directly, and if making any suggestions on the Talk Page always state your connection with the article etc. There is also little patience with those who abuse these policies and bans and blocks are quite normal. Hope this helps. Tmol42 (talk) 22:31, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies Tmo142, I was unaware that a colleague in my department had uploaded the document a few weeks before me. However, because you have reverted back to the original this now makes wikipedia inaccurate, we are one of the leading firms in executive research and I can tell you that we do not work on an hourly rate or by candidate lead, if you visit any research companies website you will see that they work on a fixed or daily rate. I think Executive Research should be a page on its own, however I will leave this to the experts and read up on posting on Wikipedia before I make any changes or additions to the website. Thank you for your advise Tmo142. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.69.201.126 (talk) 14:25, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
