An article you recently created, List of Pakistan football champions, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. SAFF: India v Pakistan

[edit]

Hey AkephalostheHeadless! I was in doubt about who scored the goal for Pakistan in the India vs Pakistan match at the semi-final of the SAFF cup, as the social media channels including the official SAFF handle stated that Hassan Bashir scored the goal and not Muhammad Ali, so I checked a video of the highlight from the match where it clearly showed that Hasan scored the goal. The proof is that

  • While scoring the goal his jersey no. 10 is visible, same as that announced in the squad.
  • His name is written above the jersey no.
  • After the goal Hasan's name is announced.
  • The commentator also says his name.

See the video at this link at 1:50, to justify this, and please help to undo vandalized content. The announcer announcing his name is not available in this video, I will share another link later when that becomes available. I watched the match live and that is why I am sure that his name was announced.--Anbans 585 (talk) 16:09, 12 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Very sorry about the confusion, but it seems that after some kind of review, SAFF announced that the goal has been awarded to Muhammad Ali. This info can be checked here.--Anbans 585 (talk) 09:08, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Anbans 585! It's okay as I was also in confusion for 2 days because the goal was actually scored by Hassan Bashir #10, but SAFF somehow awarded it to Muhammad Ali #9, its confusing but its the final decision and we can't do anything about it. By the way, great match in the finals against Maldives. Better luck next time. Peace. -- AkephalostheHeadless (talk) 12:53, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination for deletion of Template:2018–19 Pakistan Premier League table

Template:2018–19 Pakistan Premier League table has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. Frietjes (talk) 15:09, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Frietjes, I want to know why is this template nominated for deletion? Because I am working on creating team season in which template is helpful. So I urge it should not be deleted. And I want to ask why only Asian football templates are nominated for deletion? AkephalostheHeadless (talk) 15:25, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
it was decided at WT:FOOTY that the league tables should be placed in the league articles directly, and not in separate templates. the only reason why it's mostly Asian football templates being nominated, is because those are the ones which have most frequently been split from the main articles, and because I am going through the category alphabetically. Frietjes (talk) 15:29, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for elaborating and I have understood the decision for the nomination, and apologies if I sounded harsh. Peace AkephalostheHeadless (talk) 15:45, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I Hope you're doing well. Even though its another cross-border football match, but it is an classic international club football rivalry, even gaining a rivalry status from UEFA itself. The concept behind the rivalry is the biggest club of Spain versus biggest club of Italy for the biggest competition in European football, and second biggest football competition behind FIFA World Cup.

Sources

[edit]

At least some of the sources you used for your edits to List of national animals did not meet WP:RS. You are more than welcome to reintroduce the changes that are well-sourced. For example, the CIA World Factbook would probably qualify. And certainly anything that's been discussed at WP:RSN and judged to be generally reliable would be fine. However, blogs and social media would generally not be appropriate. --Yamla (talk) 11:34, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:39, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
