Your recent update

[edit]

You recently updated some stats on 50 home run club. Thank you. I have updated the access date on the corresponding reference to keep the page fully accurate. YBG (talk), YBG (talk) 06:10, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much, it completely slipped my mind to do that, so thanks! Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 15:49, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page moves

[edit]

Hello, Batgirl-Awsomeness,

There is no reason to move around artices two or three times. It's disruptive editing. You need to have a good reason to move any page on Wikipedia and so moving pages back and forth and all around makes it look like you don't know what you are doing as an editor. Please slow down and be more thoughtful in your editing decisions. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:47, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I messed up and was then trying to fix/undo my mistake. I'm sorry. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 00:30, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will do my best to avoid making any more mistakes. This was the first time I had made one when editing, and so I fixed it. I know what I am doing as an editor and I make all decisions on Wiki and otherwise thoughtfully. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 00:33, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

National varieties of English

[edit]

Information icon Hello. In a recent edit to the page Beer fault, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the first author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you.  AxG /   14:12, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, sorry I was unaware of that policy as it relates to the original author's nationality on international articles. I was only aware of the writing of articles in British on British articles and American on American articles. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 16:08, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just throwing this out

[edit]

"THE MORE I'M THINKING" .. and I was only doing this because I didn't want someone else to annoy you and/or discourage. You may have other projects going. If that's the case, more power to you and I hope that you keep going!! :) I'm remembering now that there might be global edits. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:22, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed what I sent earlier. By no means did I want it to come across as an accusation, it was general concern due to my past experience. No reason to have your page littered with it. Good luck with all that you have planned. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:33, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

So, looking at your previous posting, I believe that you were referring to the rank I show on my user page? I use the rank that fits the combined total of all edits on all wiki sites. The article on the rank ribbons says that you can display your rank according to that or according to just your English Wiki edit count. My edit count is currently
1,924
Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 05:22, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly, you're right on the money. I'm just sorry that the way my original message went, trying to be the good guy, now looks like I was interrogating you. That was never my intent. Believe me, you know more about all these wiki sites than I ever will anyway, lol. Thanks for the (kind) reply and keep doing what you're doing. Regards -- Bringingthewood (talk) 06:21, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't think you were interrogating me; you asked a question in a kind and respectful way. I'm always happy to help. 😀 Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 23:06, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Wactor

[edit]

Hi Batgirl-Awsomenessm, user TJMSmith requested resources via a template by the article Johnny Wactor. The added source mentions these projects in the last paragraph. I'm also not a fan of using the same reference multiple times across almost the entire filmography... So I have now added it in a different way: by adding the reference in a separate column behind the whole of the table. Stupid that I hadn't thought about it before. Greetings RuedNL2 (talk) 17:33, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was the one to start the filmography and so the style should be consistent with that, in accordance to guidelines on Consistency. I was using the format from #1 of the Style Guide on filmographies. I will be removing the references as they are not consistent with that style. That style is also the most commonly used one on Wikipedia. They are unnecessary as the actor's IMDB profile is linked on the page. I understand that you are only trying to help and I appreciate it, but the reference column will be removed. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 00:45, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that you want to use Example #2, but since I originally authored that section, the template I chose to use originally is the one that will be used. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 00:50, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted to fulfill an Admin's request. But if you want to keep it that way, that's totally fine too. RuedNL2 (talk) 06:11, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. Batgirl-Awsomeness (talk) 23:18, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
