Citing to WP

Hi CaliforniaAliBaba...regarding citing other WPs, I was doing that because someone in a previous context had told me that it could or should be done (although to be honest I think the person told me to cite a source article in WP in another article in English WP)...Do whatever you feel appropriate to my edit. Thanks--达伟 (talk) 01:10, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Tajiks of Xinjiang updates

Hi there. I updated the Tajiks in Xinjiang article. It looks similar to how it looked before the "Pamiri" references were placed all over the article, but I did add a bit more info and a couple of more sources. If you have the free time, please keep an eye on the article in the near future, as these changes may elicit a ton of reverts. David Straub (talk) 23:18, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Any help, feedback or assessment here would be largely appreciated. Regards, Mar4d (talk) 11:39, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Here's some recent additions: Americans in Afghanistan, Indians in Afghanistan (and potentially tasty topics)...Mar4d (talk) 12:40, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Russians in China

The prefix "Russians in" is wron cus it sounds like they were russians but not chinese.Chinese as a nationality is not included in the name of the article but as a geographical spot:"China", thus it becomes an article of russians in china: born in china, born in russia and working or travelling in china or any other russian that is in china while Russian Chinese are only Chinese from Russian descent wich is clear because the name state's it "Russian"(as a nationality) "chinese"(as a nationality) there's no confussion. Thats why Russian Chinese is in sinthony with wikipedia's policies of naming articles the more precise way.--Andres rojas22 (talk) 20:41, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm not in the mood for one of those stupid discussions where everybody pretends to be a Wikipedia lawyer and throw random policies and guidelines to each other, anyone can manipulate information and say its original research(a low punch) but WP:AT,the most relevant policy here;Recognizable you found a source in the googlebooks but there are other who would give me the reason and the google search isnt recognized in wikipedia as a reliable proof, Easy to find an english speaker familiarized with names like irish american will search the same and find more easily russian chinese than russians in china, Precise and Concise both are honored in russian chinese strict and to the point not like "russians in" wich as i stated in my previous message leads to confussion over if it is a nationality or turist or russian companies in china, etc;Consistent lastly russian chinese is consistent with a lot of 2 nationality nationalities in the enciclopedia that are all of the above the ones that are "Example in" dont comply with any of the points that WP:AT commands so they are bad examples to use as proof of you're point.--Andres rojas22 (talk) 21:00, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm done talking to you, you've clearly have takened an irrational stance an anny argument's i keep presenting you'll just dismissed them with the same scheme as the last one so i'll inform the comunity and let the comunity decide, both of us can say our version there.--Andres rojas22 (talk) 21:12, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Just want to let you know i consider this a possible disruptive WP:CANVAS. Dont repet it, also i made my comment, you made yours lets sit back and let the voter vote instead of filling the discusion with our own thoughts --Andres rojas22 (talk) 21:52, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Didn't know about the typos

From the Mangjeol page. Like some people say, "Korean Romanization makes people blind" because we are not used to read Latin alphabets in sequence that much in Romanized Korean words. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Komitsuki (talkcontribs) 00:57, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Your redirect to The Salem Witchcraft Trials Task Force

Please provide a better explanation than "Help People Navigate". There was a valid reason for not having this redirect. Personally my thought is that it is asking for trouble. Unless you have a Truely valid reason I am removing it some time in the next week. John5Russell3Finley (talk) 14:52, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi,

No Problem, I will explain my problem with your action here: 1) Your redirect has nothing to do with the topic, it just muddies the water. 2) I am unclear that there is a benefit to linking the 2 religions in this way. 3) The esteamed and honorable ancestor of mine who founded Islam has a special place in my heart of hearts, and I found being reminded of the inherent hatered of wikipedia for all forms honring him incensed me, and every time I was reminded of it it irked me greatly.John5Russell3Finley (talk) 14:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC) PPS I am sorry if you or any of your friends took offense to what I said or how I said it, but your actions there need to be reversed, please do so yourself or I will report it as vandalism.

Evan Huzinker

I thought it was a grammatical error until I actually looked at the link and realized the article is named that way. Thanks for reminding me. HyborianRanger (talk) 14:31, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

zh template

Hi there cab.

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't too sure which template to use. I have figured it out now.

It should be {{zh-simp}} and also {{zh-trad}} to indicate which format the HK government is using. The [[ zh-hk }} was the best I could find. Now I know which one to use exactly. I can make the corrections or do you want to do the changes?

Takamaxa (talk) 09:57, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Looks like you already done some of the corrections. I'll go through my edits and fix them up. If you find any, please fix it up. Sorry for the grief caused.
Takamaxa (talk) 09:59, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
I got it now. Ignore my first comment. To use the icon correctly for HK articles it should should always be (in Chinese). There is no (traditional chinese) icon. The closest is [[zh-tw}} but thats for Taiwan Mandarin. Takamaxa (talk) 10:03, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Russian-Americans

Greeting cab, I've replied to your post on the Talk:Russian_American page, just wanted to get your feedback. Thanks! Sotnik (talk) 08:02, 23 June 2010 (UTC)

Asian Mexicans

Regarding Asian Mexicans, how come different peoples like Chinese, Indians, etc. are all classified as Asian by USA? Same thing with other countries. If there's pages for Afro-Mexican, white Mexican (Euro and Arab), mestizo (mixed) Mexican, and Amerindian Mexican, then why not Asian (Oriental) Mexican? I only added India people to "Asian" because many gov'ts do so and I hate to call Orientals "Asian", but since all pages here about "Asians" refer to Orientals and sometimes Indians (only USA people call them Asians, and only Brits call people from Indian subcontinent "Asian"), I decided to call that page "Asian Mexican", HOWEVER, i was too LAZY to post any sources since it took me a long time to make the article (I did copy sourced info from other articles here on wiki).--Fernirm (talk) 20:35, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
