To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. - Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the

This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

Backgammon origin
[edit]Thanks for reverting the edit about backgammon originating in the "game of persian". There is no such game. There are sources that will claim backgammon is 5,000 years old and that a version was found in Persia at that time. This is a myth copied from one place to another. What was found, as the article states, was a board, dice and counters; that does not mean they played backgammon! There are lots of games played with boards, counters and dice. Cheers. Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
