Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Drecelto, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Dreadlocks did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need personal help ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  gobonobo + c 02:15, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 02:35, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Dreadlocks shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — MarkH21talk 04:21, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do not add this material again. It is poorly written, it is improperly sourced, it is improperly formatted, some of it is a verbatim copy of material from the web, some of it seems to have nothing to do with this article, and the image is not licensed and thus must be considered a copyright violation. Meters (talk) 07:04, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
well I had to go into further details because places where the La Tène culture is found is vital information. I also listed Artifacts with pictures of them & Dates I just wrote what is Archaeologically found. From Artifacts & From burials across the globe. All of which plays a big role into the Dreadlock topic. Especially with Roman Depictions. If there's a better version of the information I can make typed how you'd want it let me know. Maybe we can come up with something Drecelto (talk) 22:12, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And it is certainly not a minor edit to edit war this. See WP:3RR. Meters (talk) 07:05, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Using talk pages

[edit]

Article talk pages are a place to discuss content with other people, not to simply post your article content without any effort at discussion. You should stop repetitively pasting the same thing over and over, it is not going to work. You need to engage with other people and convince them of the merits of what you're trying to include. MrOllie (talk) 15:57, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to add a conversation with others on it. I'm using my cell phone. And I feel all of this information is Vital. And others Can Discuss it hopefully if this isn't where to Discuss having this information added where do I go? Drecelto (talk) 16:43, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
well I don't know who owns the page and everything I stated is factual and the coins discovered is Archeological evidence plus Greek litterateur plus Medevil litterateur from Wales all factual it shouldn't be left out what I typed. Drecelto (talk) 17:59, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
or they can message me about the topic on locs being used by Celts and what evidence such as Greek litterateur and Coinage and Traditions I did list where I got the information anyone who runs this page can message me. And when people now read and only see the Celtic Coinage it now doesn't explain what the images are we know it's coins with dreadlocked hair but because my history lesson was deleted for others to see they look like there part of another post without the dates mentioned so anyone can message me and clear it up. Shouldn't be deleted it's important to history and culture Drecelto (talk) 18:11, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sawyer777. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Brigid, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ... sawyer * he/they * talk 06:05, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did so I mentioned archaeologist Juan Carlos Olivares Pedreño he wrote books on the Celts of Iberia and refferenced James Mackillops Celtic Dictionary Oxford Journal. Drecelto (talk) 16:43, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
your addition was both difficult to read and did not actually cite sources, only made references to them. you have to actually cite the sources themselves with, for example, a footnote. see Wikipedia:Citing sources ... sawyer * he/they * talk 23:39, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how to add footnotes that's why I refferenced the sources in the writing sources are Celtic god's of the Iberian peninsula Juan Carlos Olivares Pedreño and James Mackillop Celtic Dictionary Oxford Journal Drecelto (talk) 12:12, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
please read the link i posted. ... sawyer * he/they * talk 21:18, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
