Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as So horrible that if I told you, your parents probably wouldn't let you read this book, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~ Junior5a (Talk) Cont 06:50, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of fictional extraterrestrials by form, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Life force and Xenomorph. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Unneeded redirects

[edit]

Perhaps you don't realize that it is unnecessary to create redirects for constructs such as mind-to-mind communication, as you did in this edit to The Dosadi Experiment. Piped links work very well for this type of situation. To create a piped link, type the name of the page you want to link to, followed by the pipe character ("|") and then phrase you would like to appear in the text, all within the link brackets, as so:

text to appear

which produces this appearance:

text to appear

Neat, right? When doing this, please keep the principle of least astonishment in mind: the page to which you link should actually be related to the text which appears in the link. Using piped links eliminates the need for so many unlikely redirects. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:31, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Fort of Apocalypse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi God's Godzilla. I noticed you've been adding a number of YouTube links, etc. as external links to various articles. Please be advised that although adding YouTube links as external links is not expressley prohibited by Wikipedia, you need to be pretty careful when you do for the reasons given in WP:COPYLINK, WP:YOUTUBE and WP:ELNEVER. Not only does the YouTube content need to be encyclopedically relevant, it also clearly has to be original content created and copyrighted by the YouTube uploader. Your safest bet when it comes to YouTube is to typically only add links to official YouTube channels of news organizations, companies, etc. where it clear beyond any shadow of doubt who created the content and who holds the copyright on it. Links to anything which looks like it might have come from some source other than the YouTube uploader should probably not be added. The essay WP:VIDEOREF is a pretty good summary of what kinds of sites can be linked to and more info can also be found in WP:ELPEREN#YouTube, but if you have about a specific website, you can ask for assistance at WP:ELN. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:07, 24 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete DYK nomination

[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Godzilla (franchise) at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with db-g7, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 07:48, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You should not pursue this DYK, and instead you should follow the bot's instructions and ask for the nomination to be deleted. You have improperly nominated two articles, neither of which are either new or recently expanded, which is the whole point of the DYK process. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:29, 18 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking

[edit]

Please read WP:OVERLINK. Common terms should not be wikilinked. Thanks. Opencooper (talk) 00:30, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, at Turf war, you created a redirect to a disambiguation page which is not reccomended since the target is too general (turf), and it doesn't actually disambiguate any pages with the title "turf war". Please read Wikipedia:Disambiguation for guidance on how these pages should work, thanks. Opencooper (talk) 00:44, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Lastly, please make sure the terms you wikillink actually go to articles and not disambiguation pages (which should rarely be linked to). You're creating more work for editors who have to clean up after you. Thanks. Opencooper (talk) 02:39, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I've reverted a number of your edits where you added links to Deviantart. This is highly inappropriate...not only should external links be reserved for the most important related assets, primarily links to official websites, but several of your links were to simple fan art and only tangentially related. Please do not continue doing this. Let me know if you have any questions. Huntster (t @ c) 22:56, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I think you've been amply informed about Wikipedia's policy on overlinking, yet you still continue to make frivolous links like at Blue Exorcist were you linked the first name Yukio, every other character's name regardless of whether they deserve an article, common terms like "exorcist", and links which would not enhance the reader's understanding like "demonic features". Please stop doing this and take the time to understand the policy. If you don't understand it please ask for clarification. Additionally, you added a link to a full movie uploaded without the copyright holders permission, which is a copyright violation. You've also been told by another editor about making inappropriate links, which is codified in our external links policy. if you keep ignoring what other editors have said, we might have no choice but to report you the Administrators noticeboard. it's one thing to be bold, but it's another to be reckless, and competence is required to edit Wikipedia. Again, don't hesitate to communicate any aspects you don't understand, and in the mean time slow down and listen to what people are telling you. Opencooper (talk) 19:08, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi God's Godzilla. I saw this post you made at an ANI discussion and there appears to be something either wrong with your signature or the way you're signing your posts. Are you signing your posts using four tilde? Please note that properly signing your posts is considered important when posting on talk pages or noticeboards because it allows others to easily see who posted what and when. Signatures are also supposed to contain at least one link to your user page, user talk page, or user contributions page per WP:SIGLINK. Many editors like to customize their signatures a bit which is allowed, but sometime they mistakenly check the box " Treat the above as wiki markup" find on their user preferences page when doing so. If you have this box checked and you are not customizing your signature, you probably should uncheck it so that your signature works correctly. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:28, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, God's Godzilla. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Current discussion

[edit]

God's Godzilla, now that you have talk page access, you may request further review of your block. But, I don't see any sign that you have made any progress toward addressing the issues that got you blocked in the first place. You simply don't seem to understand how Wikipedia works, therefore lacking the competency required to edit here. You're going to have to work fairly hard to undo that impression among the community of your fellow editors. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 03:14, 13 December 2016 (UTC) [reply]

@WikiDan61: How can I Do That Than? 03:54, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
A few hints:
  1. Stop collapsing the block notices as long as you remained blocked. It just annoys the administrators to have to uncollapse the boxes to read them.
  2. Stop writing in such an odd style. You state that English is your native language. Well, in English, we write in what is called "sentence case," meaning that sentence begin with a capital letter but other words in the sentence (other than proper names like John, or Godzilla) are written in all lower case. Also, stop adding bold text everywhere.
  3. Stop linking to copyright violating websites.
  4. Stop creating WikiLinks for the most trivial of terms.
  5. Basically, stop doing everything you have been doing, and find some meaningful way to contribute.
Now, of course, you're going to have to convince a few people that you're able to do any of these things. Your history has not given administrators a reason to believe that you're ready to change, so I'm not really sure what you could do here to convince them of it, but you're free to give it your best shot. 2nd chance / Standard offer

[edit]

Per your request on IRC as well as several opinions in the original blocking discussion, I've added some standard offer instructions below. A checkuser will likely still be required to confirm you haven't been using any other accounts in the meantime (pinging @KrakatoaKatie: or anyone else), but first we need to ensure that any competency issues, including knowledge of our basic policies and guidelines are covered.

In case I'm away when you complete this (probably likely, given my activity currently :P), any other admin is free to take the reins (i.e., accept/decline/whatever).

Standard offer

[edit]

This unblock request has been declined due to your history of vandalism and/or disruption to this encyclopedia. However, we are willing to give you another chance provided that you can earn back the trust of the Wikipedia community. To be unblocked you need to demonstrate that you are willing and able to contribute positively to Wikipedia. You can do this by:

  • Familiarizing yourself with our basic rules.
  • Read our guide to improving articles
  • Pick any pre-existing article you wish to improve.
  • If you have trouble choosing an article to improve, see this index of articles needing improvement for ideas. Once you have decided on the article you will propose improvements to:
    1. Click the Edit tab at the top of that article;
    2. Copy the portion of the prose from that article that you will be proposing changes to. However:
      • do not copy the "infobox" from the start of the article (i.e., markup like this: ...);
      • do not copy any image placement code (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the page's categories from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: );
      • do not copy the stub tag (if there) from the bottom of the page (i.e., markup like this: Foo stub);
    3. Click edit at your talk page, and paste at the bottom under a new section header (like this: == Article title ==) the copied content but do not save yet;
    4. Place your cursor in the edit summary box and paste there an edit summary in the following form which specifies the name of the article you copied from and links to it (this is required for mandatory copyright attribution): "Copied content from exact Name of Article; see that article's history for attribution."
    5. You can now save the page. However, if your edits will include citations to reliable sources (which they should), place at the end of the prose you copied this template reflist-talk and then save.
  • Now, edit that content. Propose significant and well researched improvements by editing the selected portion of the article. Please note that we are not looking for basic typo corrections, or small unreferenced additions; your edits should be substantial, and reflect relevant policies.
  • When you are done with your work, re-request unblocking and an administrator will review your proposed edits.
    • If we (including the original blocking admin) are convinced that your proposed edits will improve Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, you will be unblocked.

If you need help while working with your proposed edits, you may add "your question here ~~~~" to your talk page. Thank you. --slakrtalk / 20:07, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What should i do now?

[edit]

What should i do now because I'm now confused? — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 16:34, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What part of the instructions above are unclear? Tiderolls 17:32, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(No offense or anything) But its kind of hard to understand, i may ask for only Plain English please — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 18:38, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, asking questions is almost always good. Basically you are being asked to edit an article here so that your skills and dedication can be assessed. Your effort does not have to be perfect and you may ask for help along the way. Is there any specific part of the instructions that need clarification? Tiderolls 19:13, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Tiderolls is there an application where i repair articles, perhaps? — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 19:29, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Application? Are you referring to some type of automated software? Tiderolls 19:34, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it was some kind kind disambiguation software correction application, I've forgotten... — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 19:54, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, this should be a display of your skills. You shouldn't require the help of any automated scripts. Have you completed the instructions on the first two bullet points? Tiderolls 20:04, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For now yes, I've read the instructions but i would be more useful more me to simply edit those articles which need help (without hyperlinks, mostly just citations and layouts of certain pages that requires such). — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 20:09, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That ship has kinda sailed, GG. Now it's time to attempt to obtain an unblock for you. You're free to make any sort of attempt at the standard offer you wish, but you need to understand that the standard offer is an option that has been designed by community discussion. The offer is not carved in stone but it is important to demonstrate that you can edit and that you will edit constructively. Following the instructions is the more streamlined course. Feel free to ping me if you should have any questions regarding specific requirements. Tiderolls 20:19, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Quick question Tiderolls: can you remove the MY ability to add hyperlinks to articles because i rather be just doing citations and layout fixes than anything...? — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 20:38, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That's not an ability that I have, GG. I'm pretty sure it's not possible at all. Tiderolls 20:47, 7 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shall we do the unblock now Tiderolls? — 15:06, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This user has been counseled numerous times regarding signatures (see above sections). I'm not sure if the above is an attempt to hijack or just is a case of WP:COMPETENCE issues. I'm sorry, but this does not bode well for an unblock request.--☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 17:21, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So is this confusing, I'm starting to get mixed signals here, the reason is its because My Preferances allow Wikimarkup and yet those people here hate it, so I'm thoroughly confused now, as for unblocking I'll drop it for now. — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 02:06, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Although I haven't been involved in prior discussions, my suggestion, to start, would be to use the appropriate "help me" template. Best of luck. Drewmutt (^ᴥ^) talk 06:29, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you are unable - or, as I suspect, unwilling - to follow the very simple instructions laid out above (copy an article to this page, make substantive changes, appeal your block again) then you will remain blocked. If you persist in wasting the time of editors and administrators on this page, your access to edit it will also be removed. It's time to put up or shut up - either you follow the instructions provided, or you leave Wikipedia alone. Yunshui  12:41, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'll drop since none will help me anymore, wow being banned is actually better than not Being banned (go figure) — God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 13:57, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Update

[edit]

So it's Decemember and nothing's changed so now what? – God's Roaring Godzilla (talk) 04:54, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have been told what to do. You just don't apparently want to do it. Nothing to change unless you follow the procedure laid out above and demonstrate that you can edit responsibly. No-one is going to unblock your account until you do that. If you have specific questions about the process, feel free to ask them using the help template, but if you persist in simply begging to be unblocked without following the WP:SECONDCHANCE process, your access to edit this page (and thus your ability to partake in that process) will be revoked.
