Houston Alexander/James Irvin

[edit]

Your changes to the narrative on James Irvin and Houston Alexander were very well done. However, there is still a problem with changing the outcome of the fight to "TKO (strikes)", because that's not the "official" outcome of the fight. Sherdog reports the outcome the athletic commission does, and according to them the outcome was "KO (superman punch)." While I agree that, having watched the fight, the superman punch is not what knocked Alexander out, the official result is still "KO (superman punch)." The tables need to reflect that because that's what the official source says. Gromlakh (talk) 22:11, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't find anything on Sherdog claiming that their reports mirrored the official athletic commission reports, and I couldn't find the Colorado Athletic Commission report for UFC Fight Night 13, so I did a little more research and found that on the Sherdog Fight Finder report for UFC 94 they said that Machida won by KO and GSP won by corner stoppage, but the Nevada Athletic Commission report says Machida won by TKO and GSP won by doctor stoppage. The only places online that I could find that claimed "official results" for the Irvin/Alexander fight were fanhouse which says "TKO due to strikes" and MMAJunkie which says "TKO (punches)." I really searched for a source that claimed to be official that said KO due to superman punch, but I couldn't find one anywhere. If you can find one for me, I would be glad to change it. --jhanCRUSH 00:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Odd, they're usually pretty good about using the officially reported results. I'd suggest maybe directly sourcing the fight outcome to the article used earlier to clarify, because otherwise we generally go with the result listed in Sherdog. Gromlakh (talk) 00:47, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Konjac

[edit]

Do you call the Africa people and African American, "Nigger" or "Negro"? Mr.JhanCRUSH 114.164.204.239 (talk) 07:09, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

response and explanation at User talk:114.164.204.239. --jhanCRUSH 07:26, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The thing that you are doing is only a promotion of the racial discrimination. 114.164.204.239 (talk) 07:54, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You must be not related if you do not know anything. It is an alias named from the viewpoint of the racial discrimination in the age when Japanese food was not understood. Today, Is African-American called "Negro"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.164.204.239 (talk) 07:58, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have now taken the time to view various webpages [1] [2] [3] that list "devil's tongue" and "snake palm" as alternate English names for the plant "Amorphophallus konjac." Although these names may be offensive when translated into Japanese and applied to a Japanese person, their interpretation and meaning carries no offense in the English language. These names must remain on the konjac article so that English-speaking users of Wikipedia might be able to locate information on the plant that is commonly known as "snake palm" or "devil's tongue" without suffering undue confusion. Removal of such factually correct and properly sourced material is against Wikipedia's policies and edits that do such will be reverted. Thank you for your interest in improving Wikipedia. --jhanCRUSH 08:34, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have given him a {{subst:uw-3rr|Konjac}} warning... if he continues he should be reported here  rdunnPLIB  15:45, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He persisted after being warned and has been blocked. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 18:07, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GSP

[edit]

Can you please explain why my GSP edit has been reverted? Clearly, the date is wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.65.146.1 (talk) 03:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that... I just got back from a couple months in the future and I got confused about the current date. It could have happened to anyone. I have undone my own edit. Sorry. --jhanCRUSH 03:04, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making making changes to the article concerning Guy Mezger. The original article was NOT neutral, but most likely written from a fan's view. Please read Wikipedia's rules and guide lines concerning this. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.190.70.143 (talkcontribs)
