Italics and bolding[edit]

I noticed that you changed holothurian to holothurian in Sea cucumber. That was incorrect, and I have changed it back. Italics are used for scientific names of living organisms only for genera and species names, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Scientific names, and thus is incorrect for "holothurian". In the usage in the lead of "Sea cucumber", "holothurian" is the target of a redirect, and thus should be bolded per the guidance at MOS:BOLDALTNAMES. I suggest that you take some time to browse through the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. There is a lot to remember, and after 18 years of editing, I still have to check back to remind myself of the details, but having some familiarity with the MOS can be useful. Good show on your other edits to "Sea cucumber". Donald Albury 12:52, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
