Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, THE DAILY SENTINEL, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Please do not use misleading edit summaries when making changes to Wikipedia pages, as you did to Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark. This behavior is viewed as disruptive, and continuation may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 19:36, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm QwertyForest. I noticed that you recently removed content from Order of Beneficence without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Unreliable sources

[edit]

Hi, royalwatcherblog is not a WP:reliable source. I have reverted your edit. Please read up on reliable sources and Wikipedia:Acceptable sources. Thanks. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 01:17, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree - Aquino is a journalist who works with credible websites like this one. Lord Mountbutter (talk) 01:24, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lord Mountbutter: That would be fine if the source in question was a credible website. Just because Aquino works on a blog doesn't make the blog credible. Wikipedia:Reliable sources#Statements of opinion clearly states to never use self-published books, zines, websites, webforums, blogs and tweets as a source for material about a living person, unless written or published by the subject of the biographical material. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 01:37, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not to mention never use self-published sources as third-party sources about living people, even if the author is an expert, well-known professional researcher, or writer where self-published sources are discussed.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 14:05, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Royal central is deprecated as not credible: Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 383#RFC: Sydney Zatz on Royal Central. DrKay (talk) 20:31, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking

[edit]

@Lord Mountbutter: Hi again. I have reverted your recent edits because links do not belong in headers for article sections. Please familiarize yourself with this policy at WP:Manual of Style. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 01:29, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is necessary for the reliability of the articles and for the orientation of the readers to put the dynastic order so that everyone can find and read exactly what it is. Since, from what I can see, you don't like any of the ways I tried to put in, find one of your own and add the link anyway. Lord Mountbutter (talk) 02:11, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's not that I "don't like" the ways you attempted to link, it's that they go against WP:Policy. -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 14:41, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How about a compromise? Would @Willthacheerleader18 accept Template:Main under the section headers?   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 13:58, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. Would this link to Dynastic Order or to the Order of Saints Olga and Sophia? -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 14:38, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! You solved the problem!! Lord Mountbutter (talk) 18:16, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lord Mountbutter: I followed Skywatcher68's suggestion, as you can see on Marie-Chantal, Crown Princess of Greece. Thoughts? -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 15:07, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am okey with that! Lord Mountbutter (talk) 18:16, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's exactly what I had in mind. Glad to help.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 19:55, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
