Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Hello Oconna78, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.

Ideally please add links to online versions of the references. This is not compulsory, but we write for ordinary readers who like the instant gratification of being able to see what is written in the reference with ease.

"The SPE Automotive Award is one of the most well-known plastic awards in the automobile industry" we do not need to be told this. It is either a notable award or it is not. If it has a Wikipedia article then please link to that.

Linking to home pages on websites is not referencing. please link always to a relevant page, and make sure your references are relevant. We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources.
