IP list edits?

[edit]

Hi there,

I noticed you made several broad formatting changes to list articles the other day. On the same day, an anonymous user using IP 50.26.212.188 made several similar sorts of changes to similar articles. Just curious is this was you? — Rhododendrites talk \\ 22:26, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2003 in country music, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Douglas Johnson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:37, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks!

I second that about the edit summaries. I'm about to question your recent edit to Parker Solar Probe, anyway. Yes, it would be helpful if you would provide the summaries. Uporządnicki (talk) 02:38, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Randey1970,

Please do not add nonexistent, red link categories to articles. Use categories that exist in the current Wikipedia category structure. After you've saved your edit to a page, scan it and make sure that the categories aren't red links. For more information, see WP:REDNO. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 15:22, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to 1979–80 United States network television schedule and 1978–79 United States network television schedule. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 20:12, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Randey1970,

Please do not add nonexistent, red link categories to any pages on Wikipedia. See WP:REDNO for policy guidelines. Doing so just means that another editor has to come along behind you and remove them which is creating work for other people. The only exception is if you, yourself, plan on immediately creating the category. If you do so, please make sure any new category fits into the existing Wikipedia category structure. Thank you. Reference for length of ingenuity flight 10 beeing 165.4m

[edit]

Hi Randey, can you give the reference for this value? Schrauber5 (talk) 20:30, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on the source, I have converted this into a proper citation. - Aussie Article Writer (talk) 21:36, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But if you read the citation it claims 95m which is wrong since it is only the distance to the first waypoint. 165s is the duration.Schrauber5 (talk) 06:10, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I mixed up the columns. And length is ambiguous. I'm questioning the total horizontal distance (currently 160m). Did you put that in? Schrauber5 (talk) 06:17, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Solved, meanwhile its in the flight log as 233m Schrauber5 (talk) 06:23, 27 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
