King K. Rool new AfD[edit]

Hi Skynxnex, a deletion review for King K. Rool was conducted at the request of an editor. The consensus was that the original debate was correctly closed, however there is potential new information to consider. As a participant in the original AfD, I invite you to participate in the new AfD if you would like. The new AfD is located at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/King K. Rool (2nd nomination); please also see my comments at Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2024 February 19. Cheers, Daniel (talk) 23:29, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024[edit]

Hello Skynxnex,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

ev vehicles causing pot holes to increase[edit]

I think my assesment is accurate and carries some factual weight and should therefore be included ...instead EVs can do no wrong attitude many people have. there not the answer we need to reduce emissions and are floored in many ways this being one example 81.99.172.25 (talk) 04:56, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure but the short description of an article isn't the correct place to put such information. See WP:Short description. As for your third edit, Special:Diff/1218515384, I'm not sure if axle load should have that information, probably something about EVs in particular would be a better place, and it needs to be written in an encyclopedic style and should ideally be WP:SOURCED. Skynxnex (talk) 04:59, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
can you help me do this as I'm new to this and my writing isn't that good please!? 81.99.172.25 (talk) 05:09, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you have good sources talking about this topic with evidence, consider modifying in a neutral way sections such as Electric car#Environmental aspects. Health and environmental effects of battery electric cars is the main article about the topic and it looks like it needs some attention. In particular, consider that Wikipedia has decided it's not a place to WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS (read that in particular).
You may like reading something like Help:Introduction or Help:Contents for more guidance about how to edit, both technically and our style. You can also start a WP:DISCUSSION on a particular article's talk page to proposal ideas to improve the article.
If you want a place where you may get more content-specific help than I'm able to give right now, consider trying the teahouse if you think you have a question that's easy to answer. Hope this helps. Skynxnex (talk) 05:23, 12 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me in the creation Ucodelite Article[edit]

Can you Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 15:36, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Mehzabin P S Alvi, I'm not sure how much help I can be. I think the advice in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ucodelite (2nd nomination) is basically correct. In my quick searches, I'm just not seeing any sign of WP:significant coverage in WP:reliable sources of Ucodelite. Without that, English Wikipedia has collectively decided software products shouldn't be included in the encyclopedia. Assuming it is deleted this time, it will be much more difficult for a future article if (not when) there is coverage of it. The way forward would be to find sources that meet our requirements (please make sure you read and understand them) and then create a well-sourced, non-overly promotional article and submit it via AFC. If the AFC is declined, don't try to force it into the article space.
If you want to contribute to Wikipedia, I'd suggest find another topics on which to improve existing articles. Something like Wikipedia:Community portal or Wikipedia:Task Center may be helpful. Happy editing. Skynxnex (talk) 16:38, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response.
I'm reaching out because there is a software program named CodeLite that can be easily confused with another program called Ucodelite. I wanted to clarify that these are two distinct software products with different features. Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:03, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My inquiry stems from encountering software called "CodeLite" documented on Wikipedia. I couldn't locate any information regarding "Ucodelite." Given the similar naming convention, I wanted to confirm if these are distinct software programs with unique features Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:05, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Mehzabin P S Alvi They seem to be totally unrelated, yes. In my experience in the tech-sphere for products at this level, the difference between CodeLite and Ucodelite is enough to avoid most confusion on Wiki. Questions about overall confusion is outside of the realm of what might be addressed on Wiki. Skynxnex (talk) 17:07, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
They are related both are IDE's Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:24, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If you're thinking Wikipedia should include Ucodelite stuff, go for it! Just make sure it's all good quality and fits the Wikipedia mold. Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:29, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And i'm tired of getting declined or deleted Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:32, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries if that's not your thing. Thanks for the suggestions! Mehzabin P S Alvi (talk) 17:34, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
