SnowySilver, in replying to your messages, I did not want to cause you public embarrassment. I have taken the risk of giving you a detailed explanation with the hope that I will not be misinterpreted, and you will have the energy to improve the technical qualities of your writing. My comments are in no way an assessment of the content of your writing; indeed eliminating technical defects will help you make more lasting contributions in the Wikipedia context. I could be more cryptic and give you less of an explanation, but here goes.

The problem with your editing of the Chinook salmon article is not content, it is your writing skills, as I stated in my edit summary. This is nothing personal. You are not understanding what you are altering. You are over–aggressively attacking the existing contributions of other editors like yourself, but are your edits technically better? I could play the English teacher and list your mistakes in gory detail if you like. Defects in your writing create extra work for other busy editors who copyedit your work.

In your writing, please try to objectively improve grammar, sentence construction, formality, and accurate reflection of references. We are all monitored on these fundamentals of writing in Wikipedia.

Scientists can take a few years to create an error–free article. On the other hand, if you have a big itch to write for Wikipedia, you could consider going through the process of researching and writing from scratch new articles on topics you think Wikipedia has neglected. Thank you, Rebecca Beecham Gotzl, for your honesty in replying to me. I appreciate that you felt the need to respond to me and even try and help me improve. After further reviewing my past edits I realized that much of what you had said was correct. Much of what I said was too wordy and did little other than cram length into perfectly acceptable sentences. Going forward, I will reread much of Wikipedia's standards for editing, ensuring that in the future I will be able to help Wikipedia more effectively. I also plan to revisit many of my previous edits that I have made across Wikipedia, in an attempt to introduce a sense of writing more aligned with Wikipedia's standards. I would like to thank you for not only giving your advice, but doing so in such a direct way that even me, someone who is admitted very stubborn, can see the issues with what I have done.

Hi thanks for the heads up on what you changed and sorry it took me so long to respond. I understand the necessity of proper sourcing however much of the info I wrote about the game did not come from a specific source, but rather the game itself.
