Rename[edit]

Hi TheDutchViewer,

I saw your rename of Jan Arend Godert de Vos van Steenwijk II and the disambiguation page. I disagree with the rename into "II". This person was never refered to as "the second". Such a name is made up and is not based on sources. Please follow the system, as is used on the Dutch Wikipedia, whereby people refer to them by their date of birth or lifespan. We might need to add politician if we fully want to follow WP:NCPDAB. But the "II" is clearly wrong.

Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 12:58, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I will be changing te article names soon since there is no response. Sincerely, Taketa (talk) 07:01, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wim Kok[edit]

Hello, I saw you expanded the lead section of the Wim Kok-article. Partly, you used the same sentences as we can find in the paragraphs. Thus, the text has become repetitive. If I may give some advice: read the complete article as if you are an interested outsider, and see if it reads smoothly. ANd then ask yourself if your expansion is an improvement. Best regards,Jeff5102 (talk) 20:12, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wim Deetman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gouda (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:10, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing[edit]

Hello, I see you are translating parts of bios of Dutch politicians from the "Parlement & Politiek"-resumes of politicians, and inserting them in the intro of the corresponding articles on Wikipedia. Though I appreciate the efforts you are making, I cannot say they improve the quality of the articles. Just see the Joris Voorhoeve-article, and ask yourself: does the article look readable? Is it really notable that Voorhoeve was a Member of the Council of State, serving from 1 December 1999 until 1 January 2011, "a professor of International relations and War studies at the Royal Military Academy and the Royal Naval College, serving from 1 January 2001 until 1 January 2011 and as a distinguished professor of Peace and conflict studies, International relations and Public administration at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences, serving from 14 January 2011 until 15 March 2018."?

What I want to say is: your edits would benefit from less focusing on dates and functions, and more on what the subject of the article actually did. All the best, Jeff5102 (talk) 20:42, 3 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, List of King's and Queen's commissioners of Zeeland, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Source?[edit]

Hello TheDutchViewer, at List of King's and Queen's commissioners of Utrecht you wrote that Bart Hofman was Ad Interim having that function in March 1970. On his page on parliament.com nothing is mentioned about that and also the nl-wiki page with a similar list doesn't mention Hofman. Can you explain what source you used for that information about Hofman? - Robotje (talk) 02:22, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source (3)[edit]

Hello TheDutchViewer, with this edit you added to that article the information that Henk Koning was a scholar or professor in Tax Law before he joined that cabinet. Can you give me a source where you found that? - Robotje (talk) 14:56, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source (4)[edit]

Hello TheDutchViewer, with this edit you changed the name of the current CDA party leader from 'Hugo de Jonge' into 'Wopke Hoekstr'. As you can see here at parlement.com:

So Hoekstra is the official candidate of the party to become their 'lijsttrekker' (partyleader) but the members of the party still have to confirm it during an official party meeting early next year. Can you give an authoritative source where it says that Hoekstra already became the partyleader before that party meeting? - Robotje (talk) 12:33, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Source (5)[edit]

Hello TheDutchViewer, with this edit you added in the Infobox of that article about Asscher 'Professor' as one of his occupations. At his page on parliament.com ([1]) nothing is mentioned about Asscher being a professor. Also his article on nl-wiki there is nothing mentioned about that. Can you give a source where you found that? - Robotje (talk) 13:56, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, TheDutchViewer. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of King's and Queen's commissioners of Zeeland".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 02:34, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you adding lots of dead people to a list of living people??? --Randykitty (talk) 21:48, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

With these edits you added to a list of living people Pierre Lardinois, Fons van der Stee, Gerard Veringa, Barend Biesheuvel and many more who are all already dead for some time. About 20 hours after Randykitty asked you that question you did this edit of that article but instead of removing the people you added although they were not alive for many years, you started adding people you marked as 'Incumbent'. On a list for Living former cabinet members the incumbent cabinet members are also incorrectly added. About one month after Randykitty asked you about these weird edits it still needs to be cleaned up. Please start cleaning up the mess you made instead of making it worse! - Robotje (talk) 17:58, 11 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Living former cabinet members of the Netherlands, to which you have significantly contributed, is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or if it should be deleted.

The discussion will take place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Living former cabinet members of the Netherlands until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.
