Invitation to Local Wikimania Event in San Francisco this Friday
[edit]Hi!
Wikimania is happening and hopefully you're enjoying the sessions. While it's fairly last minute, you're warmly invited to participate in the local Wikimania-themed meetup in the Wikimedia Foundation office this Friday (tomorrow!). You will have to register in advance, but we would love to see more people from the WikiSalon community participate! For more information and registration, please check out meta:Wikimania 2022/San Francisco Meetup.
The event will involve hacking, teaching, learning, and celebrating and we'll have snacks. We will have the opportunity to watch live sessions at Wikimania together in the afternoon. The rest of the day we'll have opportunity to participate in the hackathon, and we may have some on-demand workshops/learning sessions.
In case we run out of space, it's first-come-first-serve so let us know soon! Hope to see you there.

How can I resolve problems related to this site

I ain't even mentioning names, but almost each time I was on English Wikipedia recently, my edits, in particular those involving telephone company pages and some weather articles were changed back. The former in particular need proper information sources but Google, Yahoo and Bing don't have enough sources for these companies which are reliable and strong enough for this English Wikipedia. On several companies' pages, my edits were changed back to questionable versions of such. This really embarrassed me, resulting in me feeling as if I'm not important. I'm a really hard worker on English, Simple English and the Spanish Wikipedias. Please tell me how could I solve such issues the right way on Wikipedia as I stay calm. And the sources I provided were not fan or tan sources. If they were I wouldn't even use them from the very beginning. I wanna just edit Wikipedia in good peace. - I'm talking the Bell System Memorial website and it said Northwestern Bell did business as US West, CenturyLink and is now dba Lumen Technologies. Similar, The Southern and South Central Bells, until 2005 or 2006, were part of BellSouth and now do business as "new" AT&T Inc. That Bell System Memorial site was recently called a fan site when it is really not such. The Bell System Memorial website is the only recent site who even gives updates on these companies. There are no other such sites that are even good enough for Wikipedia that may be reliable. Angela Kate Maureen Pears 23:17, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
