Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 1984–85 Dundee United F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Clark (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Since the Mikhail Youzhny career statistics FL nom is passing, its about time to discuss how to change the layout of the career statistics. It would be great if we could turn the Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray career statistics articles to FL status, but I feel I can only do that with support in the WP:Tennis project/community. --TIAYN (talk) 08:25, 1 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Scott Fraser (footballer born 1995)

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Scott Fraser (footballer born 1995). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Scott Fraser (footballer). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Scott Fraser (footballer) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. LorChat 09:10, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

2014 Milos Raonic tennis season

[edit]

Hi, I replaced your deletion PROD of this article with an Article for Deletion (AfD) tag because the deletion policy does not allow a PROD to be replaced if it has been deleted (even if that was done without indicating a reason). I copied your PROD text to the AfD.--Wolbo (talk) 10:22, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Wolbo: I wasn't 100% sure of the guidelines with this as the editor could potentially remove the tag without understanding what they were doing. Thanks for sorting it for me. Username of a generic kind (talk) 16:52, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wasn't really sure myself but the guideline as well as a talk page discussion made clear that a PROD cannot be replaced so the only option after that is the AfD.--Wolbo (talk) 18:48, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Andy Murray

[edit]

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Andy Murray you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Jaguar -- Jaguar (talk) 20:40, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Username of a generic kind, just curious if you have noticed the Andy Murray GA review that is now ongoing (and currently on hold for seven days)? As the nominator you are entitled to handle the points that are raised by the reviewer and make any changes that may be required to get the article to GA status. If you need any assistance with that just let me know.--Wolbo (talk) 03:05, 4 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Wolbo:, I had been inactive over the festive period so hadn't been aware of this. I'm going to get started on it now. If you want to help then you're more than welcome to but if there are other things you want to spend your time on then I think I should be able to manage it myself. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invite to the African Destubathon

[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. We're into the last five days of the Women in Red World Contest. There's a new bonus prize of $200 worth of books of your choice to win for creating the most new women biographies between 0:00 on the 26th and 23:59 on 30th November. If you've been contributing to the contest, thank you for your support, we've produced over 2000 articles. If you haven't contributed yet, we would appreciate you taking the time to add entries to our articles achievements list by the end of the month. Thank you, and if participating, good luck with the finale!

Good article reassessment for Andy Murray

[edit]
