This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Yalgaar (India film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://dbpedia.org/page/Yalgaar.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Information icon Hello, I'm Ayub407. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Ayub407talk 14:05, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Firdous Jamal has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

Complete lack of reliable sources

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Drmies (talk) 18:21, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiBulova: I recreated the article, please try to expand it with sources. Sheriff (report) 17:44, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Mawra Hocane requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:27, 1 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yamaguchi先生. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mawra Hocane, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Pakistani Canadian, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Caution for partially unsourced inflation of numbers, edits that were mislabeled as "minor". Do not mark edits as minor unless they really are minor, by Wikipedia's criteria for it! Thomas.W talk 17:55, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Warning for unsourced/improperly sourced ("jatland.com" is not a reliable source) and unexplained edits on multiple articles, edits systematically mislabeled as "minor" even though they made major changes to the articles. Thomas.W talk 18:03, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Marking edits as "minor"

[edit]

Hello. Edits can be marked as "minor" only if they are on the level of " typographical corrections, formatting and presentational changes, and rearrangements of text without modification of its content", meaning that 99% of the edits that you have marked as "minor" are mislabeled, many of your edits are also wholly or partially unsourced/improperly sourced (see my comment above about "jatland.com", a webforum that is not a reliable source and cannot be used as reference), which could get you into major trouble here. Looking through your edits I also found many constructive edits, though, so I would hate to see you blocked, but that is what will happen sooner or later if you continue doing things the way you do now... Thomas.W talk 18:29, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

Please do not add categories to articles that are not supported by sourced content as you did at Maya Ali (actress). Per WP:BLPCAT "Category names do not carry disclaimers or modifiers, so the case for each content category must be made clear by the article text and its reliable sources." --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:22, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Final warning regarding sources

[edit]

Despite multiple warnings that policy requires a reliable source be included when you add information to biography articles, you continue to do so. If this continues you will be blocked from editing. You also continue to mark your edits as "minor" when they are not, which is irritating and best and can be seen as deceptive by other editors. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:32, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Again, it doesn't matter what is "common knowledge" to you, you must include reliable sources when adding material to biography articles so that readers can verify its accuracy. You can disagree with the requirement as much as you like, but you must abide by it. Not one of the three links that you include above meet Wikipedia's reliable sourcing requirements. Please read these links prior to adding any additional information to articles: WP:BLP, WP:RS. And you're still marking all of your edits as minor when they clearly are not.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:21, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Copy-and-paste moves

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give QB (singer) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Edit-warring report on Psychonaut

[edit]

Hi there, I'm an administrator on the English Wikipedia. As you may have noticed, the edit warring report you filed on Psychonaut was closed with no violation. Per our usual bold, revert, discuss cycle, when an edit you make is reverted, it is up to you to open a discussion on the talk page to seek consensus, not to keep making the same problematic edit and then report the user who is actually in the right. In this case, Psychonaut's reversions were correct because he was trying to preserve the page history, because all edits should be attributable to the editors who made them. Discussion is the most critical tool you have in your arsenal at Wikipedia, along with assuming good faith, particularly when a more experienced user provides you with guidance. Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Little Ice Age into Sindhi Baloch. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 11:06, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Your contributed article, List of magazines in Karachi

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of magazines in Karachi. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of magazines in Pakistan. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of magazines in Pakistan – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. kashmiri TALK 10:57, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Media in Karachi for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Media in Karachi is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Media in Karachi until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. kashmiri TALK 16:40, 1 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects

[edit]

Hi! Just a note: please do not create redirects for actors to list pages. This isn't really considered to be helpful since the list article doesn't establish what these people have done and the only way that actors or actresses should be on the list pages is if they have articles on Wikipedia that would establish notability. Actors aren't entirely the same thing as say, mayors of an area since the list page for the mayors will be able to establish exactly what they've done and why they'd merit mention on Wikipedia. You can't establish that with a list page for actors since actors will presumably perform in multiple films, shows, or other venues. It just doesn't really give any information and also, it's a bit indiscriminate.

The same thing does for redirects for TV series to a certain degree, although you can create a list page for shows that the network has aired and redirect there. I'd recommend that you create this for the shows for ARY Digital since that would help establish that the network has created these shows. One note, however - if the channel is merely rebroadcasting the shows then it may not be optimal to redirect to a list page if another, equally or more notable company aired them first. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Faizan Khawaja requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Continued issues regarding sources

[edit]

I gave you a final warning regarding the use of sources here, yet you continue to add content based on websites that do not even come close to Wikipedia's reliable sourcing policies and guidelines. This edit, and an example, used what is very clearly a blog hosted on weebly stuffed full of copyright violating images. I don't understand how you could read WP:BLP and WP:RS and still believe that such a website would be considered reliable. If you cannot determine whether a website can be used as a source, please ask someone for help. You cannot continue to edit biography articles if you cannot follow our policies when doing so.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:16, 15 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zindagi Gulzar Hai, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Television serial. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
