File:Nazi propaganda - Give me four years’ time - 1937.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Tillman (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Claimed alien property custodian but I cannot verify that. It would need a reliable source or point to NARA or Library of Congress information indicating it was seized. buidhe 01:42, 31 May 2020 (UTC

I think the proper license is {{PD-EU-no author disclosure}} Per this 2015 discussion [1] at "War History Online," copyright expired in Germany 70 years after publication, or in 2007 for this poster. Since Germany is now in the EU, this would seem to be the proper license. --Pete Tillman (talk) 05:25, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • In Germany copyright runs at least 70 years, longer if the work is not genuinely anonymous. Therefore it was copyrighted on the URAA date and not free in US until publication + 95 years, unless alien property custodian applies. buidhe 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • As stated in the file description, the Banksy image is at such low resolution that it has no commercial value. I'll go a step further and say that it's reproduced at such low resolution that it's not even identifiable. You can't tell that it's a protestor unless you're already familiar with the piece; it looks like a guy wearing a suit and a beard. While enwiki isn't Commons and so c:C:de minimis isn't policy here, this image plainly meets that standard IMO and we don't have any local guidance that I'm aware of. Keep. —Cryptic 18:18, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Cryptic. Odd nom. IRL, no-one would even know that's a Banksy if we hadn't told 'em. ——Serial # 19:13, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Withdraw nomination. As far as I can tell, Cryptic is correct and c:COM:De minimis is the relevant guideline here. Wikiacc () 20:05, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. As per the file description the Banksy is of such low resolution that nobody could make use of it even if they wanted; if it weren't for the giant signature, it wouldn't even be identifiable. Since this is obviously a photograph of the wall of Etty paintings, the 1%-ish of the photo occupied by the out-of-focus Banksy is about as textbook an example of incidental inclusion as they come. ‑ Iridescent 20:08, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep -- per the very good arguments made by the keeps above. I had no idea this was a Banksy until the nominator said it. CassiantoTalk 20:56, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Breath of Fire - Dragon Quarter Coverart.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Salavat (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

I was going to upload the North American (NTSC-U/C) box art just to have both images discussed at FFD. However, turns out that it was first uploaded in 2008. Then the image was replaced with the original Japanese (NTSC-J) one by Hippo99. WP:VGBOX encourages using English-language cover arts. The Japanese cover uses the English title with the "V" but also has Japanese-language text. The North American cover is in English language but omits "V" for some reason.

I initially thought about requesting an un-deletion of one of the image revisions at WP:REFUND, but this is one of Japanese games eventually localized for international releases. Now I'm torn, especially since Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (aka Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call) also omits its Roman numeral "III" for non-Japanese/overseas releases (more at Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne#Localization). There's a difference between Nocturne and Dragon Quarter: Nocturne is the first entry of SMT to be released outside Japan, while previous Breath of Fire entries were released outside Japan long before Dragon Quarter. Here's the main question: shall the infobox image for Dragon Quarter be changed back to the North American box art (one of diffs before the change) for general consistency with other North American and European covers used at other VG articles or remain as-is, i.e. retain the Japanese cover? George Ho (talk) 20:57, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Almost forgot: just in case, per WP:GUIDES, the VGBOX can be best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply. George Ho (talk) 21:10, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Microman Zone Catalog 1975 Number 1.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by SpyMagician (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Fails WP:NFCC 1, 8, and 3a:

1) The toys are considered public domain in the source country (Japan), so the non-free catalog can be replaced with freely licensed images of the toys themselves (two such images are already in the article).

8) The catalog images are not critical to the understanding of the article (on the toy line).

3a) There are a large number of scans of non-free catalog covers, and should it be determined that a catalog cover is necessary, one (in the infobox) can suffice. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 21:21, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Luthor Smallville.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Johnnyfog (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Fails WP:NFCC 8 and 3a. The article Lois Lane in other media is filled with non-free depictions of the character, who is already depicted heavily in Lex Luthor. These depictions are not the subject of critical commentary using cited prose, they are just there as decoration. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 22:23, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
