This might be a difficult request, but maybe it will work. Could you please add colour to image 1 and 2? This is the official colour image for 1 from the museum where the object is kept [1], 2's colour images are here [2]. 3 and 4 need their colours to be corrected to be as accurate as possible to the original. 3's official image is unfortunately too dark for our image [3], but it could help. For the first one, there are two types of colour brown in the original image, the top glaze is different from the bottom glaze. Is there something that can be done? And #2 was too difficult? Gryffindor (talk) 10:59, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gryffindor: I bumped the contrast on the image to to better match the references you provided, but I see what you're saying. I did that at my work computer, so on Monday when I get back, I'll darken the rim a bit and ping you when it's done.

@Gryffindor:I certainly can, but to be honest, PawełMM's version looks very good to me, and my result would likely appear nearly identical. Can you describe what differences you can see between the color reference and the current version? If you can point something out, I can correct that quite easily.

The lower part looks good, but the upper somehow seems so yellow when I compare it with the original? The original has more of an earthen colour to it, not so yellow but more brown. Gryffindor (talk) 15:40, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Gryffindor: The difference you're seeing is mostly the result of different lighting in the two images. That being said, I gave it a shot, adjusting the lighting a bit. So take a look, and if you don't like it, feel free to revert.

@PawełMM: I agree that your colors look good, and were I to choose, I'd choose your version. I did notice one thing though: There were a lot of noticeable compression artifacts in your version. You might want to lower the compression level on the jpg's you save.

Well, if you can't see the artifacts, then they're fine. The image is for general use, not as a submission to a technically-perfect competition. That being said, I did download a copy and zoomed in and they're all gone. @PawełMM:, I think you did a wonderful job of it.
