The result of the discussion was: delete. Image of map is still under the copyright of Transport for London. — ξxplicit 05:18, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The copyright of the map belongs to Transport for London. There is no Freedom of Panorama in the UK for 2D artworks, see commons:COM:FOP#United_Kingdom. Image could perhaps be used under fair use, however, there is already an adequate fair use image of the tube map available File:Tube map thumbnail.png. JD554 (talk) 09:43, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The File:Tube map thumbnail.png map still has the river, this photo was meant to illustrate the map without the river in context with beck plaque. The map in the photograph isn't of high enough resolution be used as a map. I'm not particularly attached to this photo though. Can we find a better fair use image of the of the riverless map? Grim23★ 18:02, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not sure we need to find a new image. WP:NFCC#8 says we should only use non-free images if it aids a readers understanding. I'm not sure that couldn't simply be done by saying that there is a version of the map which doesn't have the route of the River Thames on it, ie the same as the existing map but for the river. --JD554 (talk) 20:14, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- keep This is actually not an image of a map, but an oblique photo of a wall, which happens to include a plaque and a map. It does not show the map in sufficient detail as to be useable as a way of finding one's way, and it does not show it as a flat, 2D image. It does show a specific version of the iconic London Underground map (sans river) which has attracted much media attention, and as a result of local pressure, will not be reissued. On all these grounds, I feel it should remain. Regards, Lynbarn (talk) 11:58, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Professional image sourced to Picasweb by uploaded also found elsewhere on the internet by tineye is likely copyright and does not have a valid CC licence as applied. - Doesn't appear to be uploader's own work. Copyright probably held by the transit authority. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:51, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- There are many maps of Bucharest metro on Google images. Not all are made the transit authority; the official ones have clear markings, like this. The one up for deletion looks like made by a third party, found a copy here; most probably not public domain or the uploader's creation though. Pcap ping 20:32, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Appears to be a collage of web sources, including http://biewerterriers.com/BiewerTerrierArticle.html, and http://biewer-btca.com/, uploaded by now blocked user Jezhotwells (talk) 23:39, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- We can revert to the earliest version (whomever uploaded the new one overwrote an older, pretty likely free use image) and just delete the others. I think that'd be pretty appropriate since the newer image is pretty clearly copyvio. —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 15:21, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
