Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Canakkale 1915, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Turkish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sources

[edit]

Sources must directly discuss the subject. Thus a story about the earth perhaps having two moons isn't a source for anything to do with the splitting of the moon or discussion among Muslims, which is why I removed it. See WP:NOR. Was 40 billions a typo? That's much more than what is considered to be the Age of the universe. Dougweller (talk) 10:15, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You are receiving this as you have recently added an interwiki link to a page!

Wikidata has been deployed to the English Wikipedia. Wikidata manages interwiki links on a separate project on pages such as this. This means that on Wikipedia articles there is now a language bar on the left hand side of your screen where you can edit and add links rather than adding them into the articles themselves.

If you have any questions regarding Wikidata please use the talk page Wikipedia talk:Wikidata.

Speedy delete nomination

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Trimming (Beard), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This piece isn't nonsense, but it doesn't even reach WP:DICTIONARY

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. License tagging for File:280px-Zero 4 (TV series).png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:280px-Zero 4 (TV series).png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 17 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:Meena cartoon.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Listening to reasons people give for reverting you

[edit]

Sharif uddin, surely you read why I reverted you here; I stated it clearly here. That does not mean that you then restore your edit without explaining why you restored your edit. See WP:BRD and WP:Edit warring. If you are one of those editors who is going to keep reverting without explaining why you are reverting, I will tell you right now that such an approach will not work. Such an approach serves to annoy me. Template:Sexual orientation very clearly states, "Before making any content changes, please discuss them on the talk page first." I suggest you follow that. Information icon A tag has been placed on Template:Abu Bakr requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. The article M. A. Mannan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:11, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sharif uddin, I reverted you here and here because, per Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Hatnotes, this is not the way we do hatnotes. Did you read Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Hatnotes? The hatnotes you added are not needed in this case and/or the links are found lower in the article (for example, the lead of the article is already clear that the article is about coitus; the article is also about more than coitus because sexual intercourse has different definitions). You often revert and WP:Edit war without listening. If you see the #Listening to reasons people give for reverting you section above, I addressed that aspect of your editing before. If you don't understand what I am trying to state about something, then ask instead of edit war. For example, you can ask here in this section on your talk page if you don't understand what I mean about hatnote usage. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 21:22, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Pardon for my misbehave. But in my opinion, at least the link of sex (disambiguation) should be kept above. Above all, the page deserves to have the disambiguation link for its highly importance. Sharif uddin (talk) 21:31, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Different definitions of sexual intercourse are handled in the article; readers do not need to be pointed to the Sex (disambiguation) page at the Sexual intercourse article. The Sex article was already linked in the Sexual intercourse article, which is another reason why your hatnote is not needed. The term "sexual intercourse" is disambiguated. The Sex (disambiguation) hatnote fits at the top of Sex article, where it currently is, because "sex" is not disambiguated. I don't think you took the time to read Wikipedia:Disambiguation#Hatnotes. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 21:41, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are many links about sexual activity and etcetera in the page but i didn't find any particular link with the page sex in the page. Sharif uddin (talk) 21:46, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It used to be linked, but it was delinked because that definition of sex is not the one the Sexual intercourse article is about. But this is beside the point. The other stuff I stated above are the main points. Your hatnote states, "This page is about coitus. For the biological study of sex in sexually reproduced organisms, see Sex. For other uses, see Sex (disambiguation)." The first reason that hatnote does not belong is because people are already told that the article is about coitus in the very first sentence of the WP:Lead. The second reason that hatnote does not belong is because the article is not solely about the coitus definition of sexual intercourse. The third reason that hatnote does not belong is because people are not coming to that article for the biological definition of sex (as in what is a male or a female). Also, we do not need two hatnotes. And the Sex (disambiguation) link covers the other definitions of sex anyway; really, that is only link you added to the article that I can see as beneficial. I can compromise with you on the Sex (disambiguation) link, but, in my opinion, it also is not needed for that article. My compromise suggestion is that you use the following hatnote instead:
Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 23:16, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok done. That's gonna be a good consensus. Sharif uddin (talk) 23:19, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We're set then. But in the future, keep in mind that such pages that are already disambiguated do not need a note at the top telling readers about other uses. The fourth reason the Sex (disambiguation) link doesn't belong in this case ties into the number three reason above. The non-disambiguated Sex page is what needs that hatnote since its title is "Sex" and there are many different definitions of sex. So the "For other uses" aspect fits there; it doesn't quite fit at the Sexual intercourse article because the Sex (disambiguation) link is about other definitions of sex/other topics titled "sex," not other definitions of sexual intercourse/other topics titled "sexual intercourse." The other definitions of sexual intercourse are in the Sexual intercourse article, where they should be, per WP:Broad-concept article. For more on what I mean, see this recent discussion about disambiguation.
On a side note: Did you get my email? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 23:47, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, but I thought it should be better to communicate through wiki. By the way, many many thanks for the consensus. :D Sharif uddin (talk) 23:55, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sharif uddin, this is another misuse of hatnotes. Homo (disambiguation) is not about other uses of "homosexuality." It's not needed at the Homosexuality article. It's needed at the Homo article, where it already is. So that addition should be removed from the Homosexuality article. You don't seem to have understood what I stated about how hatnotes are used. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 22:37, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Communicating

[edit]

So I take it you read the email? Or is your email address not working? I didn't feel that what I contacted you about via email needed discussion on Wikipedia. It was more so about addressing our editing styles and how I appreciate your work, but that communication with you is difficult. For example, you will make a lot edits to an article, a number of which I or others disagree with, or which go against established WP:Consensus, and you will often keep making the edits when reverted instead of stopping and discussing the matter on the article talk page. It always takes someone else to start the discussion first. And when you strongly believe in an edit, you feel that your edit must stay even when there are valid reasons given for why it should not. You barely use edit summaries. If you start making a lot of edits to the Homosexuality article, for example, I'm sure I and others would disagree with a lot of your changes. In that case, if I were to revert some things, you might let me revert a few things, but not others. And you won't explain unless the matter is brought to your talk page or to the article talk page with a WP:Ping for your username. That is frustrating, especially if a layout has already been thoroughly worked out and you are changing it without discussion. I felt that communication with you via email might be easier. I am fine with most of your changes to the Heterosexuality article thus far, though. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 00:22, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In our country, wikipedia browsing is free of cost in many mobile operator, but not the Gmail or yahoo ha ha ha. Most of our people try to save money because of their middle income. That's one of the causes for which I preferred Wiki for discussing. Sharif uddin (talk) 00:27, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, but you still haven't addressed my concerns above. Others have the same concerns about how you edit. For example, the #Stop edit warring section that Jeppiz posted above. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 00:31, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Moving articles

[edit]

Do not move contentious articles like you did in this case. Like WP:Requested moves makes clear, you should propose a move via that process in the case of moves that are likely to be contested. The term you added is not only not the WP:Common name of the subject, I don't see where it's used in WP:Reliable sources. So I have reverted you on the move and the wording in the lead. Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Sexual orientation change efforts into Heterosexuality. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:42, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Diannaa, thanks for that. I'm not sure how you came across Since Sharif uddin's copying tendency, but since Sharif uddin copies a lot of material from article to article, usually material that he did not write, I was going to note to him sometime today to see WP:Copying within Wikipedia and to follow it (per what is stated at Shootingstar88's talk page). Sharif uddin, if you wrote the material, giving attribution in the edit summary is not needed. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 16:14, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Flyer22 Reborn: The material appeared on the bot report User:EranBot/Copyright/rc. It's best if all copying within Wikipedia has an edit summary providing attribution, so that patrolling admins will know where the material came from, and will not have to hunt through the history of the source article to find out who wrote it. — Diannaa (talk) 18:26, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The reason for those reverts

[edit]

You may want to familiarize yourself with the Manual of Style, particularly regarding See Also links. Specifically, "The links in the See also section should be relevant, should reflect the links that would be present in a comprehensive article on the topic, and should be limited to a reasonable number." The television show you were linking sounds interesting, but it really is not relevant to those articles. TechBear | Talk | Contributions 01:37, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article was not about the television show (Metrosexuality), but rather than a term (Metrosexual). Sharif uddin (talk) 01:39, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The links are of questionable relevance even so. Please stop restoring them without discussion. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 01:53, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But it is unquestionable that it is relevant with heterosexuality. Therefore in case of the article heterosexuality only, I will revert it. Sharif uddin (talk) 01:55, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How many times do you have to be warned for WP:Edit warring before you get the point? It's gotten to where I am tempted to report your persistent edit warring behavior at WP:ANI. I already explained to you that this is redundant. It is not needed in the least. Now you can revert yourself on it, or it will be removed via consensus when I bring other editors into the matter. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 05:06, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I prefer bringing other editors into the matter to get a consensus. You can proceed on. An article can have both underlying template end opening sidebar template on the subject matter. There is no offense or violation of policy in it. Sharif uddin (talk) 17:55, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I took the matter to the talk page and to WP:Med. As for "offense or violation," the offense or violation is your propensity toward edit warring. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 08:36, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And once again, more edit warring after a guideline was clearly explained to you. You did the same yesterday at the Homosexuality article, and stopped only after you were reverted by Jytdog. You were also edit warring with Jytdog elsewhere. I don't know why you think the rules do not apply to you, but if you keep editing like this, I will indeed make a case on you at WP:ANI. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 17:54, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Because of this, other edit warring issues noted in your talk page's edit history, and what I stated in the #Communicating section above, I will report you when I get the time to write up a case on you. That should be in two or three days since I'm very busy lately. In the meantime, you should think on what you want to state in the WP:ANI case. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 18:28, 20 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's taking longer than expected for me to start the case, but that's because I'm waiting for a current WP:ANI case I'm involved in to clear out first. After that, I will start a case on your edit warring since I feel this really needs to be addressed by the community. You simply revert, usually without giving any valid explanation and expect not to be reverted in turn. If you are reverted in turn, with a valid explanation as to why, you simply revert again and think the case is supposed to be settled there. Editors are left not wanting to repeatedly revert you because of fear of edit warring themselves and/or being blocked for it. You go about your way, and your edit remains unless there is more than one editor there to revert you. And this needs to stop. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 07:09, 24 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Sharif uddin, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Gümüş (TV series) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 19:14, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your templates do not belong on every sex article possible. And adding both to an article is highly redundant and therefore overkill. One of them is enough. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 06:05, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This article is an example of where your template does not fit (despite the way you've crafted the template to try and make it fit). Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 06:08, 19 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Moving templates, and cut and paste moves

[edit]

Per WP:Requested moves, just like moving articles should be discussed first before the move happens, if the move is likely to be contested, so should moving templates. Moving templates you recently created is one thing, but moving long-standing templates is another. I don't know what you thought you were doing with Template:Human sexuality and Template:Human sexuality and sexology, but besides having created more redundancy, you ended up doing a cut and paste move; such moves are a no; this is because cut and paste moves lose the edit history of the page. The edit history of Template:Human sexuality only shows you now, while the talk page shows a longer history. So now I will list those two moves at WP:Requested moves and request a WP:Histmerge. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:25, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Taken to Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:49, 23 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop this and the other WP:Disruptive editing you engage in, or I will finally be taking you to WP:ANI. I am beyond tired of your edits messing up a number of our articles. We go by WP:Consensus here, not you forcing whatever change you want on our articles. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 02:49, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Flyer22 Reborn, I think that merging the history is a better decision for that because every article and template of wikipedia should be a clear title which will represent the central subject of the matter. What is your opinion? Sharif uddin (talk) 02:55, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And you hardly ever discuss; you just do what you want and WP:Edit war over it, and I'm tired of that. I'm having those pages moved back. If you really want to discuss, you will bring the matter up on one of the talk pages and centralize the discussion (per WP:TALKCENT) after they are moved back. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 02:58, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Flyer22 Reborn, check in the talk page of the sex template, I gave a message about that but no one paid heed. Sharif uddin (talk) 03:03, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is a suggestion, not a discussion. No answer does not mean that you should then go ahead move the template. If you want something like that moved, you are supposed to make sure that you bring a number of editors in to discuss the matter; that is what WP:Requested moves is for. I also reverted this disruptive blanking. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 03:14, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate you attempting to discuss things like you did here. Thank you. As noted in the #Communicating section above, that is the main thing I'm looking for from you when you edit. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 03:59, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

See here and here. That's the WP:Consensus. You should not then try to circumvent the consensus, as you did here and here. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:37, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And in case you want to point out that there was no consensus, "no consensus" is also a part of the WP:Consensus policy; see WP:NOCONSENSUS. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:41, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Zakir Naik. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
It appears that you've been warned about your behavior multiple times in the past and are continuing this now around this article and those related to Peace TVSpacemanSpiff 16:25, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Template merger

[edit]

Hello Sharif – regarding your requesto to merge the templates, this appears to have already been done, because Template:Human sexuality already redirects to Template:Sex. In any case the Merger Requests page is for articles only – requests to merge templates or categories are done via a different process. Richard3120 (talk) 02:43, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Richard3120, also see what I stated above. This merger appears to be Sharif uddin's latest attempt to sidestep a previous discussion. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 04:56, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Sharif uddin, you were already warned above. If this and this happens again, I will be starting that long overdue case on you at WP:ANI, or perhaps, since your edit warring needs a case to itself, I'll just focus on this template case. I reiterate "You should not then try to circumvent the consensus." WP:Consensus is policy. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 05:03, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Zakir Naik

[edit]

Dear Sharif uddin, Your edits (or tweaks!) on the Zakir Naik page is of little help to the article. Kindly avoid unnecessary changes. Sentences are often framed in coherence with the source but with a sense of neutrality. It appears as if you want to dampen the content with insignificant changes in choice of words. As you may be knowing that the burden of evidence rests with the editor who adds or restores material. In case of WP:BLP, Criticism and praise should be included if they can be sourced to reliable secondary sources. I hope you get the point. Feel free to discuss on this matter. – Anand2202 (talk) 11:22, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your many attempts to change these templates in significant ways are becoming extraordinarily disruptive. After your requested move failed, you edit-warred at {{Human sexuality}} to redirect it to {{Sex}}. After that didn't work, you listed the template to be merged at WP:TFD/H, apparently attempting to trick an uninvolved editor into merging it for you. When that didn't work, you opened a TfD with no rationale and without placing an appropriate notice on the affected templates.

As Flyer22 Reborn attempted to explain to you above, you've discussed the changes you want made, and the community rejected them. Consider this your final warning to accept the community's decision and walk away. If you continue attempting to shop around for different venues or push your changes through using deception or brute force, you will be blocked. Your disruption is rapidly exhausting the community's patience. ~ Rob13Talk 01:20, 24 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Sharif Uddin. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. The article Walid Saif has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 22:24, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Despite what was stated by BU Rob13 at #Template:Human sexuality and Template:Sex above, you have done it yet again, all this time later.

BU Rob13, what should be done now? Another warning? A block? Reporting this editor at WP:ANI (which I have threatened to do times before)? As can be seen by the number of warnings I and others have given this editor above, this editor is not a net positive. NeilN, any thoughts about how to proceed? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 20:32, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sharif Uddin, are you going to be doing that again? --NeilN talk to me 20:58, 15 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually two years ago, I replaced sex template with human sexuality template in all the link articles of sex template. Yesterday I tried to restore all but there was a lot of articles to be re-edited, besides I don't know how to use a bot to edit in a less time. So I thought it might be easy for me to redirect the article. Hence,I did that. If anyone help me to replace the template in those article with or without a bot, it will be fruitful for me. I am sorry for all of your disturbance. Sharif Uddin (talk) 02:15, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean. You have repeatedly tried to get rid of Template:Human sexuality. Again, see what BU Rob13 stated above. This link shows you trying to get rid of Template:Human sexuality again. You then went to articles removing Template:Human sexuality and replacing it with Template:Sex, as seen, for example, here and here. I reverted you on those changes as well. And I really don't have anything else to state about your disruptive editing; your talk page has multiple sections showing my opinion on that. As far as I'm concerned, the warning that BU Rob13 gave you in 2016 is not stale, but it seems he feels that it is. Either way, there are other admins who would be willing to take over. I'm not sure why I never reported you at WP:ANI years ago (I certainly threatened to do so enough times), but I'm sure it will happen eventually (and without a warning since I've warned you enough). Thanks, NeilN. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 22:05, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve just been busy. I was quite clear that you weren’t to try to sneak in your changes again what with the clear consensus against. You’ve done it again. I’ve blocked you for 31 hours. ~ Rob13Talk 22:28, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
BU Rob13 and NeilN, take a look at Sharif Uddin's latest edits. He is at it again, this time replacing Template:Human sexuality with Template:Sex at a number of articles. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 10:00, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
All those articles which I replaced were previously the link article of sex template. I never replaced the template of human sexuality template, and I think you are randomly trying to make the administrators and users angry against me without describing the matter clearly. A user can not expect such a behaviour from an adminstrator like you. We don't want to be a victim of any adminstrator's such a rough behaviour. Sharif Uddin (talk) 10:12, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You were replacing Template:Human sexuality. You were trading it out for Template:Sex. Like I stated on my talk page, "If you were not trying to get rid of one of the templates and were truly trying to improve the articles, I wouldn't be as concerned. Some of the articles may very well be more compatible with one template over the other, but you have shown time again that you are more interested in getting rid of one of the templates when it comes to these two templates." I am not an administrator. And who is "we"? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 10:18, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There are a lot of articles where two of this templates exists. You can see that I never replaced two of these templates but only one See here. And saying we, I meant on behalf of all the users you are harrasing off. Sharif Uddin (talk) 11:49, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Admins may be slow sometimes, but we do know how to read a contributions history. [3], [4], etc. --NeilN talk to me 13:57, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
NeilN, BU Rob13, let me describe myself. Two years ago when I tried to merge the template sex with template human sexuality, I myself replaced the template sex with the template human sexuality in all the link articles of sex template. See here. But then no one roll backed it and finally the Marge proposal was rejected by community and still after that the human sexuality template is remaining here. So I tried to take the articles back in the previous state. Though I again tried to redirect the template human sexuality for saving time and it was not right but changing templates in articles was not a wrong decision. I hope you all would understand and consider my matter and take back my block. Sharif Uddin (talk) 03:32, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sharif Uddin: I can't remember exactly when and why I watchlisted your page. But as it has been in my watchlist for a pretty long time, so have I been watching some of your stories. I once saw you doing some funny things like uploading bizarre images (well, they had been deleted long ago); and I have been persistently seeing your persistent obsession with these sex templates. I exactly don't know whether it is your amateurish approach or your unconscious fascination that time and again hypnotize you and make you run behind these templates.
But whatever it is, please see that you are persistently becoming a cause of pain for other community members. I've never seriously looked at those edits or templates, but the repeated frustration expressed by Flyer22 and others make it clear that you are operating in a wrong way. When others' days of constructive hard-work are messed up, I think this becomes a grave issue.
In case you can't realize how disruptive you are becoming and continue this way, I propose for longer bans, not as penalty, but to minimize disruption.
Spending some more time in dreamland? or coming back now? Okay, take it easy. Accept what others are saying to you, and gradually try to reconcile with them. There are other fields where you can contribute -AsceticRosé 05:43, 23 February 2018 (UTC).[reply]

A tag has been placed on Participation banking requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.turkiyefinans.com.tr/en-us/about-us/participation-banking-system/how-does-participation-banking-operate/pages/how-does-participation-banking-operate.aspx. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:30, 23 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that the template is okay to use on human-related articles, but please know that when someone such as FlightTime leaves you a message to express concerns regarding edits that you're making - it's good etiquette and generally expected that you at least acknowledge their message, respond, and try to work with the user to address their concerns and make sure all is okay. Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:15, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Atel (slang) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The article falls under WP:DEL14, that is WP:NOT#DICT #3. Aside form citation 1 which delves into the term, and citation 3 which is a dictionary link; the rest of the citations and most of the article is anecdotal examples of the term in use and not descriptive or encyclopedic.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Thanks for creating Haya (Islam).

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

While the article can include quotations from Quran and hadiths, the article would be better expanded with sections on the practical interpretations and applications of haya. On an unrelated note, you don't need to add 5 citations to a single claim; you almost never need more than one citation per claim, unless it's particularly controversial or of the form "multiple sources say X"

Copying licensed material requires attribution (3rd request)

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Islamic views on oral sex into Zina. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:02, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Xq28

[edit]

Hello Sharif, I've made a correction to your summary of the findings of the recent "no gay gene study" on the Xq28 page. You appeared to have taken the liberty to interpret the study beyond the factors it actually studied and added implications from the results which aren't reflective of the reality of the result, mainly in suggesting "sexual orientation is hardly based on genetic factors". The study in question suggests pretty much exactly the opposite: There is statistically significant basis to suggest multiple Loci are partially causal to homosexuality. As such it appears you did not (properly) read the material you've talked about and cited. I urge you to, in the future, when making edits on wikipedia to take more care in making sure you understand the material you are writing about before making an edit to a page. The article Atel has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Muhammad and the Hindu texts moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Muhammad and the Hindu texts, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ms Sarah Welch (talk) 17:36, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lazy-restless: Please try to find peer-reviewed reliable sources, preferably mainstream academic scholarship, such as the Rowena Robinson Religious Conversion in India: Modes, Motivations, and Meanings source you did cite. Missionary publications, self-published sources, advocacy groups with no independent peer-review process, websites, blogs and other questionable sources are not okay for wikipedia articles. Please avoid such sources in this and other articles of wikipedia. When you do find sources such as Robinson, please summarize the source fairly and per our NPOV guideline. Your last version did not. Request reason:

When the ANI was going on, I just looked once the message of ANI, then now after blocking, I found that many times i was pinged, but there was no message on my notification, for that, I did not see the discussion and get any chance to prove or confess myself, I love wikipedia, if I am given chance, I will reform and improve myself, and every man do mistakes, but when a man is alive, there is chance to reform. I politely seeking pardon and a chance to reform. I knew that, Userflyer22reborn was indefinitely blocked in 2008 but after reforming discussion, he/she again also came back. Can I have also a similar chance please? -- Lazy-restless 05:15, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You've been blocked three times in the past for very similar reasons. What is different this time? Furthermore, you have been warned multiple times about copyright, so you should demonstrate an adequate understanding of the copyright policy (What is copyright? When is it appropriate to copy stuff from external websites into Wikipedia?) in order to be unblocked. MER-C 09:50, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lazy-restless, I have closed the ANI request regarding you. There is consensus that should you be unblocked, you will be subjected to an indefinite topic ban from (1) the subject of religion and (2) the subject of sexuality - broadly construed for both subjects. You may appeal at WP:AN against your topic ban. My personal suggestion is that you do not appeal before six months of good editing. starship.paint (talk) 01:44, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 19:38, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
