Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Brandon Ingram, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Specifically per MOS:NDASH, use an en dash instead of a hyphen for scores (e.g. 132–130, not 132-130).Bagumba (talk) 05:29, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I'll keep that in mind. Please just correct my edits when given the chance as I just followed your suggestion in being bold in making edits. Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 12:12, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Nintendoswitchfan. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I see your point, but the edit was made in accordance to the source guidelines for the page. Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 14:45, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So no edit war was needed as poorly sourced entries are to be removed and fixed with reliable sources or removed without any fix, as per the norm in the page. Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 14:47, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to discuss further on why your edit was not meant to be reverted, you may do so in the talk page of the page. Also, you can chill out with the personal attacks. I did not intend to look like I own the article, since all editors can revise edits there provided they are fit to the consensus for the page, as discussed in the talk page. Michael Reeves draft

[edit]

Hi Nintendoswitchfan. I just wanted to let you know that I did some work on your Michael Reeves draft and added a few more references. If you're still interested in getting it published, I'd recommend moving it over to mainspace as it's in much better shape now than when it first got denied. If you do, I also recommend that you change the title to "Michael Reeves (YouTuber)" since he doesn't seem to be super active in streaming nowadays. Thanks. Troutfarm27 (Talk) 10:38, 23 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok thank you, will check. Made that YouTuber edit. I published it for review for now because I feel that the Delta Fiver guy will likely move it back to draft since he checks OfflineTV articles often.

Clutchpoints

[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for you citing sources for your edits. I see that you often use Clutchpoints as a source for game stats. Would you be willing to cite other more reliable sources like ESPN, NBA.com, mainstream newspapers, etc? Clutchpoints can be bloggy at times, though the stats you are citing from them are probably OK. Still, it would bypass any questions if another source was cited. Thanks for considering this. Cheers.—Bagumba (talk) 09:42, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I make sure that I only cite them for stats, but I make sure to add another bigger source if the stats they use are incomplete. I cite other big outlets for trades and signings as ClutchPoints does not break them. I just use ClutchPoints a lot for stats since I use their site a lot as it's convenient to follow the stats.Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 09:48, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just noticed too that some editors cite ClutchPoints as well and those edits were not taken down, so I figured it's ok to cite them, but I only do so for stats, otherwise the major news that big outlets break, no ClutchPoints at all. Thank you.Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 09:52, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, other people using it can make it confusing (WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS). If I think it's likely true, I usually don't delete things, sometimes even if it was uncited. Other editors may act differently. Generally nobody will question sites like ESPN et. al., while people may sometimes question Clutchpoints.—Bagumba (talk) 10:26, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Noted on this. I make sure that to use the bigger outlets whenever, if say the stats are obscure and only on that bigger outlet's article. Or for trades and signings which are big no nos for ClutchPoints and Bleacher Report since they don't break those news bits.Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 10:30, 3 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Lokesh Chugh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Players Media Group moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Players Media Group, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 20:49, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock my IP address

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Nintendoswitchfan (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

My Wikipedia username is Nintendoswitchfan. I have been editing on Wikipedia for 4+ years with 4 pages created and 2,500+ edits already. All of a sudden last week, I received an IP address block for 136.158.31.16 from editing even though I was signed in. This was supposedly due too my IP address being an open proxy. I just recently made sure to change my IP address settings from automatic to manual and input my WI-FI network's proper IP address which differs from the blocked IP address above, and I double checked to make sure my proxy server settings were off. Even after all this, I still was not unblocked and now have to wait a bit longer, until February 27 instead of Februar 15 then 18 then 20 then 21 initially to be unblocked. I can assure that I have never committed any Wikipedia editing violations and would humbly like to be unblocked so I can continue providing accurate information to various Wikipedia articles. If my IP address still shows as a violating address, hoping I can be directed to the proper steps to fix this or at least get an IP exemption, given my editing history. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Decline reason:

I can't undo this so casually, but, yes, I can tell you how to get IPBE: go to WP:IPECPROXY and follow directions there. — Daniel Case (talk) 07:09, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Help with the List of One-Hit Wonders in the United States Wiki Page

[edit]

I am encountering an issue with the Visual Editor that I used to always have. Recently, I was able to successfully add a number of entries to the 1960's and 1970's sections of the list because of this issue being absent. I was also able to order the entries correctly. The issue is when I click on the [edit] text next to where the decade is listed, the entire list is highlighted in a large blue square. You click on it, and it says, "Template Content" and a bunch of other jargon after "Generated from". When I wasn't getting this, I was able to just click on the [edit] text and simply add a bullet point at a certain part in the list. How do I fix this? Thank You ~ Alexander Ya Boy Alex! Focus on Summer League

[edit]

Hi. I see you added some Summer League details to Alex Sarr. I would caution being too focused on recent events – WP:RECENTISM and WP:PROPORTION. It is undue to put too much weight on Summer League. It is minor tournament that can usually be summarised in a sentence or two. Sarr is a top draft pick that will have a lot of future regular season detail that will be much more important and hold more weight. Please take this into consideration. Well noted on this.
I was unsure on whether or not it would be fit to add the debut and possibly the second game.
But I will leave it at that, similar to other NBA players only having the debut and or a second or third game placed in the article. Nintendoswitchfan (talk) 02:19, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kirk Cousins, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Matt Ryan.
