License tagging for Image:Snail-WA wolfied.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Snail-WA wolfied.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:07, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Zero??

[edit]

Hi. I removed a sentence you added to the mathematical beauty article, specifically in the deep results section: "For example the concept of zero." I wasn't sure what this meant (and it is a fragment sentence). Please feel free to add it back and sorry if I missed the point (do try to add more explanation and write a complete sentence though). Thanks. 68.40.50.73 00:51, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Erm, thats okay, but I do think the concept of zero is beautiful... Well mathematically atleast, I've personally always prefered 7.Wolfmankurd 16:03, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My edit to weasel words ,adding the tag to indicate such, was reverted back to your version. Would it not be useful for people to get the tag from here? why the Rv.? 72.197.2.40 07:58, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wolfmankurd!
Now that this nomination is over, do you mind if I delete your edit? It didn't gain support and is not used anywhere else. Thanks! --Fir0002 09:19, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure go ahead :) -- Wolfmankurd 16:08, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought i would say hi. I was looking through my images that i had uploaded and noticed that you nominated this for featured pic - cheers. Since i read the comments i did some editing to it and think it looks much better now. Also, i noticed on your userpage that you did some work on John Roan. Which i found weird as i live 2 minutes walk from it, and my two brothers went there. Just thought i would mention that as it was strange. chris_huh 10:43, 14 September 2006 (UTC) --Thats an incredible conincidence, but then by the looks of your user page yuo get around :D wonderful picture BTW. wolfie[reply]

Swimming

[edit]
Thank you for your question. I asked my biology prof about the question, and he said that "Roughly, 70% of the body is water; while the lungs are filled with the air, the body is slightly less dense than the surrounding water, which exerts a buoyant force on it. " is the true statement. Thank you for bringing it up, and I will personally make sure that the information is changed in the incorect article. --wpktsfs 19:12, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Converting chemical structures to SVG

[edit]

Thanks for helping out with the backlog at Category:Images which should be in SVG format. A couple of suggestions for chemical structures:

Crop closer - a 64x64 square with a 62x20 diagram in the middle is less useful than a 64x22 cropped version. If you're using Inkscape, this can be done with Ctrl+A Ctrl+G Ctrl+Shift+D Alt+F, and then adjusting up a couple of pixels to get a bit of whitespace to allow for rendering errors and aesthetics; then Object > Align and Distribute > Relative to Page > Centre vertically and horizontally.
Have you considered uploading to Commons? Then they can be used on all wikis without having to port them over. Most chemical structures will end up with {{To Commons}} on anyway, so it saves other people work to upload them straight there.

Cheers, Stannered 19:35, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Logic block image in FPGA

[edit]

Hello User:Wolfmankurd. I think that the old image [1] you replaced with a new one [2] was far better. The new is very small, it says "input" instead of "inputs" and all the blocks are not centered. I advise you to turn back to the original image or improve the new one. Michagal 06:56, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:Wolfmankurd. I centered connectors relative to the blocks and uploaded new version on the same block2.svg. If you are making updates to the same image you can upload an update instead of creating new item. Michagal 13:41, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Deep Heat can.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Deep Heat can.JPG. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Do not change Iraq Football Clubs flags, we can't put next each club the regional flags, we cant Put Kurd, Assyrians, Babylon...etc Flags... Iraq is united Mussav 10:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do Not 2

[edit]

There is no country called Kurdistan… only regional And we professional put the country flag next to the clubs not the regional flag

And Iraq is united in football… no one mentioned politics Don’t try to ruin my hard work just because stupid thing… I worked on this page almost a year Mussav 10:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Be Rational

[edit]

You can ask whatever you want bro, Arbil and the other Kurdish Clubs play under Iraq name, represent Iraq no other country… Kurdistan is a region in Iraq and we all love Kurdistan and I'm Half Kurdish and I love Kurdistan as much as you do, but we must be rational the Kurdish clubs considered Iraqis, and why you think my work incorrect? Dude your point of view is the incorrect, just look around you, people use the country flag not the regional flags…

One more thing Inshallah Iraq will be united no need to separate it even in sports You will put Kurdistan flag, other will put Assyrians flags, another will put Babylonians flag… etc... this is unacceptable… we shouldn’t do that.

the Kurdish president Masoud Barazani said Arbil will play the AFC Asian Champions League next year not for Kurdistan… Arbil will play for Iraq… representing Iraq.Mussav 10:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Big Difference

[edit]

Brother there is a big Difference between Iraq and UK Iraq more like Spain so many regional stats Catalonia, Basque, Andulcia…etc … but they are under Spain Flag and name, While Scotland and Ireland not like Spain, but all of them can raise their regional stats flags as much as they want in their countries but out side… there is one flag… I hope you understand me

Your brother Mussab his half from Kurdistan/Sulimaniyah and his other Half from Basra Mussav 10:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please

[edit]

Brother no need to go to this far we aren't in a fight here, please do understand Go to Spain National Football team and see there… no Catalonia flag, no Andulcia flag, no Basque flag… etc

I hope you understand, the country flag next to the club not the regional flags Mussav 10:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please 2

[edit]

Brother as I said before the regional states can raise their own flags as much as they won't, but out side the borders there is only one flag the country flag… you cant see Andulcia or Catalonia flag in Spain vs. Portugal for example. Or you can't see Catalonia flag in the politicians meetings… why we have to go far… you know Kurdistan flag wont raise in politics meeting outside Iraq… even Mam Jalal Talebani raised Iraq flag in his meeting out side Iraq. Btw caps and goals in exact date and against exact team is important, so the next person who want to update will be aware from it, For Example I edited the stats after Saudi Arabia match, If I didn’t notify the next person will update after my update based on Saudi Arabia match Mussav 11:02, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Thermal greases.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. File source problem with File:Red-headed Rock Agama( without blow highlights).JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Red-headed Rock Agama( without blow highlights).JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Deletion discussion about Deep Heat (heat rub)

[edit]

Hello, Wolfmankurd,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Deep Heat (heat rub) should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deep Heat (heat rub) .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Your drawing seems not to be correct, because it does not contain the voltage converter (loader) between the accumulator and the capacitor. The system as shown does not function. The capacitor must be loaded up to a voltage of several kV, the accu has only 12 Volts or so. Ulfbastel (talk) 22:42, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
