Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 23:35, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Ways to improve LarryBoy (TV Series)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Andrewright. Zucat, thanks for creating LarryBoy (TV Series)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This page needs extreme updating. and does not meet the criteria for notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. S Blake 22:16, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bunny Maloney

[edit]

Hi, thanks for creating the Bunny Maloney page. It made it easier for me to get started on filling it with info. Bunny Maloney finally has an English Wikipedia page that's also on par with it's French counterpart. So thanks a bunch! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Radix Z (talkcontribs) 23:32, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You, I Thought the same thing. (Zucat)

Hi Zucat: I saw your note at User talk:Drmies. You need to take a (second) look at this page - granted, there are only 4 people watching that article, and granted, you've clearly put a lot of effort into editing it, but you are not "the patroller" of the article. Everything on Wikipedia is subject to editing by others. Drmies' edit summaries indicate he found excessive detail and bad writing in the article - and it has tags for both, plus for not having any references. This is not a directory of all possible information: that's for fan sites. Find some solid references and you can add back details they mention. Beyond that, as another editor mentioned in her edit summary, talk about it on the article's talk page.

(Also, please note that on Wikipedia talk pages we start new sections at the bottom, not the top. It's easiest to click the "new section" tab above the talk page title.) Yngvadottir (talk) 06:20, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ha, I see that Yngvadottir beat me to it. Zucat, I don't have much to add. Yes, you aren't the sole legitimate patroller of the article (nor am I), and while I appreciate your effort, this is an encyclopedia and we have certain standards for quality (spelling, grammar, sentence construction) in addition to a bunch of other guidelines--about wikilinking, about amount of detail, etc. Typical for such articles is to confuse character description with plot description, for instance. SummerPhD and I have looked at hundreds if not thousands of such articles, so I think you should have a little faith in our judgment. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 16:55, 3 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:List of Stuart Little characters, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. SummerPhD (talk) 17:12, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Frustration

[edit]

I assume this was a reference to my edits at List of Stuart Little characters. You will likely be told there that even as the article's original creator, you do not have special status in your editing. You cannot create or enforce any rules there. Instead, editing of all Wikipedia articles is subject to our general policies and guidelines. There are lots of them.

It really isn't possible to ever really learn all of them (and they change a bit over time anyway), so it's best to just start with the basics, summarized at WP:5.

I am trying to make the reasons for all of my edits clear on the article's talk page. If there is something you do not understand or disagree with, check there and ask questions. I'll try to clarify and, if we can't agree, I can also help bring in a neutral third opinion. Thanks and happy editing! - SummerPhD (talk) 18:04, 16 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Zucat. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "List of films broadcast by Cartoon Network".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Nikkimaria (talk) 03:38, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That's OK, I attempted to create that article back in 2014. I really liked the idea for it. But there isn't exactly any way I can justify it nowadays. I don't really care for it anymore, Go ahead and delete by all means. Zucat (talk) 21:57, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Back to the Future (franchise). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 20:21, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is blocking my access to Wikipedia REALLY nessacary to protect a vision of an article. That's a little extreme, don't you think? Can't there be another compromise? I don't believe you can get blocked for multiple reversions. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but all I'm saying is that maybe you should try to have a little more faith in people's edits before you make drastic statements. Zucat (talk) 19:40, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody's blocked your access at this time, and nobody will block your access if you are willing to discuss edits rather than simply continuing to re-apply them despite other editors disagreeing with them. I recommend reviewing WP:BRD, which while it isn't policy is often considered "best practice". Cheers. DonIago (talk) 19:45, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK! And just so you know, those edits I was reverting were not mine. I just thought the page was fine the way it was. I'll try to keep what you said in mind next time I edit. Thanks. Zucat (talk) 19:53, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome; glad I could help! If you still feel strongly about the issue with the article, I'd encourage you to bring it up at the article's Talk page, so that other editors can offer their thoughts on it. Happy editing! DonIago (talk) 20:28, 17 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

3RR warning

[edit]

This is the required warning that you are about to break WP:3RR at Die Hard (film series). Note that while a 24-limit marks bright-line violations, admins may impose sanctions for a pattern of edit-warring. Per WP:BRD, when first reverted, protocol is to discuss the issue on the article's talk page rather than edit-war. If 3RR is broken, admins will be notified. It's important for the sake of this encyclopedia that we reach talk-page consensus and not edit-war. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:42, 31 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, about the video game detail you deleted, just curious if there was a reason why you didn’t just create a video game section for it? I wouldn’t want to spin wheels re-adding (even though I’m not the original poster) if it’s likely to be removed again. Thanks! Oh, no worries, I can definitely add a video game section, although it won't be that big as the Monster's vs. Aliens video game is currently her only video game role. Zucat (talk) 20:15, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Scooby Doo

[edit]

Just letting you know that I didn't re-name the article for "no reason" like I claimed. I clearly stated a reason, which was a good one. We can't have an article which tries to focus on both every single live action Scooby Doo film, (both theatrical, direct-to-video and Tv-movies) and also add info about an animated film for no good reason. If we do that there is no actual topic to the article, it's just a random mess. The new theatrical animated film isn't a "reboot" of any kind, it's just another Scooby-Doo film which has *one* thing in common with only the two first live action Scooby Doo films, that it's going to be released in theaters. I've started a discussion on the talkpage, shime in if you feel like it.★Trekker (talk) 05:24, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First off, one quick thing: The upcoming animated Scooby-Doo film isn't cancelled as of now. It still has a release date of 2020. Also, If you feel like the article has to only include the feature-legnth live action films, that's fine. But personally, I propose we move the article to Scooby-Doo in film so that way the upcoming animated film can have some representation as well along with a mini-section (or main article link) explaining the direct to video films. Zucat (talk) 23:37, 17 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm just comming by to say that I'm very sorry about how this conversation turned out eventually. I was very rude and that's not ok.★Trekker (talk) 05:05, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to be sorry, you just need to have more faith in people's visions of Articles. Rudley disagreeing with others like how you did back there doesn't help anything on this site JSYK. Nonetheless, I'll definitely accept your apology since I'm a compassionate person, no hard feelings. And now to get back to the topic, I still think the 2020 Scooby-Doo should be included on the article once it's renamed to Scooby-Doo in film. I've actually opposed the idea of having the direct to video films be listed and the article would benefit both parties if it included only the major films in the series (including the theatrical and live-action television films. National Lampoon’s Vacation (film series)

[edit]

Hello. I strongly apologise to bother you, but if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask for your opinnion since you specialize in Cast and character tables. It seems there is a typo in the (added by you) “Girl in the Red Farrari”, and do you think it’d be better to change “Original series” to “Main series” or “Main films” in the “Principal cast” and “Additional crew” tables’ headings (because of 2015’s Vacation)? Thank you very much for help in advance. Greetings and kind regards, -- Pinoczet (talk) 18:55, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry for the late response. I would personally lean towards to main films because 2015's Vacation is more a spiritual sequel than anything. Thank you bringing this up to me! And you weren't bothering me at all. lol Zucat (talk) 19:47, 9 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Could you add to the article’s “Other appearances” sub-section a paragraph about this, please? I don’t speak English very fluently, so I wouldn’t want to make any mistake nor describe it in poor wording. Also, it seems the info about “Blue Harvest” and “Boys Do Cry” Family Guy’s episodes needs some references, what do you think? Thank you very much for help in advance. Greetings and kind regards, -- Pinoczet (talk) 07:00, 8 January 2020 (UTC) Update: e.g. I found this, the citation: This isn’t the first time that Chase and D’Angelo have stepped into their Griswold roles in recent memory. They made a brief cameo in “Family Guy: Blue Harvest,” the animated series’ loving parody of “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope,” complete in a flying version of the first “Vacation” movie’s Wagon Queen Family Truckster (the big green station wagon thing), and this, the citation: The DVD Version also contains a quite funny scene of the trip to Texas, a reference to a similar scene (with a more harmless ending) from National Lampoon’s Vacation. A blond chick in a sports car arrives from the back and starts hitting on Peter while she’s driving next to him. Peter responds positively but suddenly a semi approaches and rams her off the road. The car blows up in the background. Peter gets scared: “Holy crap!” Lois says: “You marry Billy Joel. It’s going to happen one way or another.” (Musican Billy Joel is one of Christie Brinkley’s exes and it was her who played the chick in the Ferrari.) -- Pinoczet (talk) 07:20, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

My question about your edits

[edit]

I've seen your edits on An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island and you removed details involving "characters not returning in The Mystery of the Night Monster" as well as removing details involving how the film was subjected. Is there something you don't want anyone to know? I mean some medias like Peter Pan (1953 film) had Native Americans and controversy involving the song What Makes the Red Man Red?, causing the Natives not to appear in Return to Neverland. Some contents involving racism and police brutality are usually condemned from further medias due to United States awareness today. Retrosunshine2006 (talk) 17:23, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I removed that info as I figured they were unesacarry as they felt more like trivia than actual facts. Stuff like is what normal audiences could put together.

If you feel like this was a mistake, you're more than welcome to add the info back. Although, I will reccomend you add the information to a new section on the article like "Political themes or Racial content", not in the notes or references. Thank you and happy editing. J. K. Simmons in Zack Snyder's Justice League

[edit]

Hello,

I would like to give my two cents on the idea behind whether the sources state J. K. Simmons in Zack Snyder's Justice League. All of these citations read as Snyder will at least carry over the couple of scenes shot and released in the 2017 theatrical cut. I know this because in the sources online Simmons was asked by Snyder if his scenes shot can be used in the Director's cut. The big question that is mistakenly represented is if he will return for reshoots or potentially add more scenes. I can provide the direct quote if you wish. Cardei012597 (talk) 08:07, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I found this interesting statement from several major news sources, including [1]: "Snyder and Warner Bros. first needed to get permission from the entire cast before working". Snyder and Warner Bros. needed permission to use any footage shot of all actors, for the director's cut. And, yes, this includes Simmons who was "contacted by Snyder" for this specific permission to use any footage shot of him as Gordon. All this is stated in the MovieWeb article. Cocomelon

[edit]

While it is quite possible that Cocomelon is now in 2nd place, I believe we need to wait for a third-party source with access to exact numbers in order to confirm this. If there are no exact numbers, then we should wait until Cocomelon hits 110 million (unless PewDiePie pulls ahead after all) before announcing that they have switched places. Soap 10:41, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies if you were seeing 110 million this morning when I was not ... perhaps the UI is such that even subscriber counts don't roll out to every browser at the same time. I still want to wait until SocialBlade updates it to 110M, which should be a matter of mere hours now, unless someone else makes the change. Soap 20:00, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Continuing to change the characters' name to what you wish to put is not helpful, especially when the credits themselves list her character as 'Master of Ceremonies'. Also to note, as WP:FILMCAST states, "All names should be referred to as credited, or by common name supported by a reliable source."- the character is listed as 'Master of Ceremonies', as shown in the image I've linked... Magitroopa (talk) 19:49, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Magitroopa (talk) 19:52, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

OK, first of all, do not put words in my mouth by saying I was putting Incorrect Information. I am a verified user of this site and never once have I ever attempted to spread "Incorrect Information". I understand you're worried about the article, but there's no need for that.

Furthermore, I did cite the source on SotR's article history. If you don't have the energy to check the the source I provided, you can watch the movie again at the 47:23 mark. Yes, the Master of Ceremonies is her billed name, but verified sources as well as the film itself say otherwise. I firmly believe this information should be implemented, so what are we gonna do about this? Because we can't be in a stand-still about this. Zucat (talk) 02:27, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Boogie2988's hometown?

[edit]

I asked on the talk page 3 months ago but haven't gotten an answer as to what state Boogie lives in? (Virginia or Arkansas?) You are the most active editor on Boogie2988's article page and I was curious if you knew the answer? LaceyUF (talk) 00:23, 7 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for the late response. Arkansas is his hometown, but Virginia is the place he was residing at the time when Frank Hassle came to his Door. Zucat (talk) 20:42, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I apologise to bother you, but if you do not mind, I would like to ask a question regarding the article National Lampoon's Vacation (film series). Recently, I have found out about another project, namely a series of commercials for AAMI featuring Chevy Chase (the source). They have been archived and can be watched online: ad 1, ad 2, ad 3. To my knowledge, these TV commercials originally aired in 1998 (the source, see at 1:00:40 as well as 1:24:18). Is it worth mentioning in the article and should it be included in the release timeline? PS. I believe it would be reasonable to clarify there have been four TV spots for Old Navy featuring the Griswold family (the source, a rumoured fifth one never aired). Thank you very much in advance. Kind regards, --89.66.254.10 (talk) 15:45, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up, I'm not exactly the keeper of the National Lampoon series article nor am I the most frequent editor on it, so you don't have to consult me about changes to it. But in regards to the content you mentioned, it can be listed in the article under an "Other media" sort of thing, but I would personally keep it away from the character table as they don't seem to be long or notable enough to warrant inclusion. Remember to add references

[edit]

Please remember to add citations to the information you add, as you failed to do in these edits: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. All material on Wikipedia must be attributable to reliable, published sources. ArcticSeeress (talk) 23:12, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you had bothered to check these Wikitables again, you would notice a majority of these tables that include all these roles and appearances do not have sources on them. I didn't feel the need to add a source for these edits because there was no attempt to enforce them on the respective articles. If all these filmographies were backed up with sources, I would have added one myself, but they weren't. If you're against my edits, go to these articles talk pages and lay down a source-required rule, because bringing this topic to an ordinary user like myself doesn't help. Zucat (talk) 02:50, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you're against my edits, [don't bring them up to me] - What? Who else would I talk to? You're the ones who made your edits.
In any case, of course I can tell that they don't have sources, I found your edits through the ones you made at Markiplier, where I had already added a cleanup tag. The edits I pointed out here were simply your most recent ones. Just because the other entries in the tables don't have citations doesn't mean you can add whatever you want unsourced. What you personally feel doesn't supersede longstanding Wikipedia policy. Per WP:BURDEN: "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". ArcticSeeress (talk) 09:25, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Understood, my apolgies.Zucat (talk) 19:58, 22 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content to articles - there already being unsourced content isn't a reason to add more - you've previously been notified of WP:BURDEN. Waxworker (talk) 11:34, 17 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your frustration, but I must ask if you even took the time to look up the episode / listing I added. I am very much aware that content in general needs to be sourced, but you seem to be coming at me as if my edit was in bad faith, which the intention was not. You are more than free to revert my edits, but it is not my burden that Lamarr's article hasn't been taken good care of. Zucat (talk) 06:07, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
